Podmore is a neighborhood restaurant and cocktail lounge. Created by the dynamic duo behind Senia, Chef Anthony Rush and Katherine Nomura, Podmore extends a warm welcome to our cozy dining room and bar to savor an unforgettable lunch, pau hana, dinner, cocktails or weekend brunch.

We pride ourselves on expertly executed comfort food and innovative cocktails, complimented by good old fashioned hospitality.

From our bacon to our pasta to our ice cream, we make things in-house, from scratch, locally-sourced whenever possible.

D'après les éditeur·rices d'OpenTable : Playful cocktails and comfort food are the stars at this stylish sequel from the beloved Senia team led by chef Anthony Rush and his wife and co-owner Katherine Nomura. Get comfortable at one of green banquettes overlooking Alakea Street or at the marble bar and pick from nearly two dozen cocktails like the tropical Secret Swiftie with amaro and dishes like beer battered fish and chips. End on a sweet note with the flight of three pie-inspired cocktails.

Service was terrible. After being seated, it took over ten minutes for the server to come say hello and offer me some water, after which she disappeared for another 10 minutes. My reservation was at 2pm and they were not busy at all. There was a lot of chatter coming from the kitchen though. I had to ask my server for a cocktail refill twice before another server checked on me and finally brought it out. The table next to me had similar issues. Food was mediocre and not worth going here a second time. Seemed as though whoever made the decisions on the menu did so with their own tastes in mind without thinking about their target audience. The restaurant itself is aesthetically pleasing, however the seating is very uncomfortable. Booths and chairs are too low and the legs under the table are round and large, so you have to awkwardly place your feet on top of them. Compared to its sister restaurant, Senia, everything about Podmore was subpar.

This restaurant is the most amazing little jewel in the heart of downtown Honolulu!!! Fabulous food - absolutely the most delicious meals- and innovative bar and bartenders. Each offering is an artistic treat for both the eyes and tastebuds. If you would like to share a fabulous experience, surrounded by lovely atmosphere, and the most attentive, experienced staff, you will not find a better restaurant in Hawaii, I promise you!

Alex was an excellent bartender. Cocktail menu is delicious, Alex really knows what he’s doing. Food was delicious as well. We had the Pork buns, roasted squash, and chicken and waffle. The brown butter sauce on the squash was very nicely done and added a ton of flavor. Chicken and waffle didn’t have a traditional waffle, the potato base was an excellent riff to make it a dinner entree. Hope to be back soon!

The ambience is retro bold and chic. The music, a cool trip-hop vibe, immediately sets the tone. Our server was friendly, and perfectly attentive without being intrusive. I wish she had introduced herself; and there was no napkin at my place setting, but when I asked the issue was quickly corrected. The hand-crafted cocktails were fun and food delicious, dessert the perfect final note to the meal. We left very full, a little tipsy, and extremely happy.

This was my second time to Podmore’s. This time is was brunch with friends. A small, but diverse menu, something for everyone. Iced chai latte was tasty and my vegetable polenta was delicious. Not a bite left on anyone’s plate. We will be back!

Friendly service, great atmosphere, delicious food & libations. But, super-duper expensive, for a breakfast. I long for the days of class & affordability. How did the pandemic drive up food costs beyond reason? Sorry, Our Podmore Visit was Incredible! I just wish the value was within ‘the norm.’ Was it the Holiday Movie, ‘Elf Me’ that said; ‘Remember to Dream while Awake.’ Above us only sky…

A rare miss in the Honolulu dining rotation. We decided to stretch out a bit for a Sunday brunch and it was poor decision. From unbelievably slow service to a non-notable menu, Podmore, unfortunately, missed all the check points. This is, of course, taking into account “island time” and attitude. A rare disappointment in an otherwise fantastic food scene!

The Restaurant was nicely decorated for the Christmas season. The staff was friendly and cordial and granted our request for a different table so we both had a view of the restaurant. Food and drinks were good. Would recommend the restaurant to others.
