'A safe place to explore the unusual' Financial Times

Run by wine importer and events company Grays and Feather, the parlour is split over two very different floors including outdoor seating, with a focus on exploring wine production and flavour and pushing understanding further. The well known and greatest hits sit alongside the road less travelled.

Ordered a bottle of wine and olives. Had to chase as nothing arrived and everyone around us had been served. Gave 10% off for the wait (at that stage unnecessary as mistakes happen). But then they didn’t have the bottle we chose. Also never received the olives yet they still appeared on the bill along with service change which may be optional but expecting 12.5% when we essentially received next to no service for two items felt a slap in the face

Nothing beats a beautifully central wine bar with a wonderful staff and brilliant list. This is maybe my fifth or sixth time coming, and every time has been better than the last. Can’t wait to return!

Very disappointing. Great experience in the past bit this time was very poor. Booked well in advance for the Speakeasy downstairs, only to be told in arrival that not only was it not open, but that a private booking had been given priority and thar a table was not guaranteed. Had a quick drink upstairs and left. Sorry, Plume, but will not be back

Hi Tony Sorry that you were unable to sit in the downstairs, this event had been booked in for a few weeks but unfortunately we are unable to highlight certain areas closed on Openable which is why we do not allow people to book certain areas but to request these areas. We will add to contact customers requests if we are unable to fulfil these moving forward. If you want to get in touch we can make sure your next visit is as memorable as you have had before. As always an enjoyable time at plume. Great food and lovely wine. The girls were super helpful as always. The loss of Connor and Anna is felt very much. They made the experience just outstanding. The new host is not friendly at all and creates a vibe that the customer is just another inconvenience to their day. Don’t think I’ll be rushing back.

The bar is great, I loved the decor downstairs and definitely recommend booking on a Tuesday when they run the anonymous note passing night. One thing about my rating - we didn't have food but OpenTable wouldn't let me post without rating the food. It looked good on the other tables. Drinks were good.

The wine was great. The service was poor. Food was lovely but pricy.
