A modern-American dining experience in the heart of historic Lancaster City, Plough pays homage to Lancaster’s rich heritage while embracing modernity. Chef Ryan McQuillan’s creatively prepared dishes incorporate local ingredients sourced from the region’s lush farmlands and oldest running Farmers’ Market in the country. One of our children, a foodie, has spoken well of Plough. So we went to celebrate our anniversary. We thought the atmosphere was very nice and the food was tasty. My New York strip was market price so I was surprised at the amount of fat versus beef. We also shared an appetizer. Everything was delicious. Obviously the chef knows what he’s doing. All in all, it is a nice place for a special occasion

The food, while very good, took over an hour to get. They were in over their heads and adequately staffed but just slow. We were sat next to the open kitchen so there was no ambience due to the chef expediting orders and trying to manage through the chaos. It would have been entertaining had the food been more timely and the wait staff more attentive. Our server was absent especially when it was clear the kitchen was backed up which is exactly the time he shouldve been more present. Our cocktail/mocktails were average at best and neither of us finished them. The food was borderline exceptional. The berkshire pork chop with greens and crispy sweet potato medallions was sublime. My wife also enjoyed the brick chicken breast and salad. No complaints on the flavor profiles either. Very cheffed up food by any standard, including Philly where we normally dine.

There was 3 of us and we all enjoyed our meals. Our server was very attentive and helped make it an enjoyable afternoon

Our waitress was attentive and helped with selections and refills. she made the experience perfect-it was our daughter's birthday.

Our server was very accommodating. One member of our group has severe food allergies. Thank goodness she realized prior to tastingthat an item described as safe for her to eat, was not. It was a shared appetizer, so she just skipped it. Otherwise we had a wonderful experience.

The drinks were great but the entrée and mushroom soup not so great. The ice cream was low quality, the cookie was hard and tasteless, the hamburger was blah. The service was excellent!
