    Absolutely fabulous food. The steak pie was packed with succulent meat. The fish pie was also full of fresh fish. The steak burger was the tastiest I've ever had and the chicken in the chicken burger was a meal in it's self

    Sam and the team do everything to make you welcome at this lovely country pub. The food is great and the Sunday dinner is the best I’ve found around here. Well done to Sam, the Chef and Team. Keep up the great work as I really appreciate you keeping this dying trade alive.

    Lovely setting and nice staff. It was quiet as it was a Monday evening. Food was good although quite pricey. I think the portions were too generous and I couldn't eat a quarter of the pie and my 22 year old 'burger mad' son couldn't eat all of the burger and chips and onion rings, which is not like him. If they cut the portions and therefore the prices then I think it would be better.

    Food was fantastic, really enjoyed prawn starter. Nice setting & helpful staff. Loved that we could take our 2 wee dogs.....

    I was pleasantly surprised to find non-alcoholic beer on tap, instead of expensive bottles. I ordered sirloin steak, cooked to perfection and my partner ordered a chicken burger, which turned out to be two large pieces chicken that were crisp and well seasoned. We will be certainly going back again soon

    Good fresh food. Good value. Lamb shank delicious. Mussels tasty. Would recommend.

    Food was lovely but unfortunately, the service let the experience down. It was very slow to get drinks, or for anyone to notice that we had finished our food and to come and offer desserts. The male with blonde hair (who I think was a supervisor or manager), gave the impression he was more bothered with the young female staff member, (who walked around chewing gum and not really acknowledging the customers) than the diners. It didn't seem very welcoming, which was a shame, as we've always previously had a positive experience with the service and food.
