The Platea Experience provides guests with a one-of-a-kind take on the classic Prime Steakhouse but delivering them with flavors brought on by the Peruvian influence and quality Marmolejos & Salazar are known for. All our steaks come from the top 1% of the Prime cattles in the USA, some of the very best there is in the world when it comes to marbling, fattiness, and flavor. All our seafood is fresh and comes from independent purveyors, some of them flying in the selective menu items on a daily basis.

We dined here on the recommendation of relatives; beautiful ambiance and charming dining room; They had a musician playing nice music; We had the $150 ribeye steak & huge lobster tail combo for 2 persons, and it was not only delicious but a great bargain as well. Included, one side and special dessert; our waiting Douglas was very attentive & polite; we brought our own bottle of wine and corking fee was reasonable at $35. This will be our go to place in Pinecrest; Amazing food & service; Try it and you’ll enjoy it too! Thanks.

We really enjoyed our first visit to Platea. The staff was very friendly and personable, the food service was prompt, the environment was comfortable. The food was seasoned exceptionally, exceeding expectations. We will absolutely be recommending this restaurant to our friends and family and will be returning for tomahawk Tuesdays again in the near future!

Excellent food and service. It was a business dinner and the noise level was adequate to hold proper conversations. I was disappointed that my first choice of entrée was not available, the rack of lamb. Otherwise, a great experience.

This is a hidden gem. I had never heard of it but friends gave us a gift certificate. The meal was incredible. Run don’t walk to get the bread and butter. Yes even the bread and (bone marrow) butter is incredible. The butter was expected to be delicious but the bread was literally cloud like. We had ceviche which had incredible flavor and unique textures using various corn. We also had Brussel sprouts and phantom fries as sides. The Brussels were delicious topped with a cheese that tasted good and really made the plate look spectacular. The obvious star was the bone in rib eye. Topped with Rosemary that they torch table-side. The steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Service was also incredible. Everyone very welcoming and attentive. We cannot wait to go back.

From the minute we walked in until we walked out the service was 5 stars. Our waiter and Somalia were very attentive and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Platea if you are looking for delicious steaks and appetizers. We all had different steaks that were cooked to perfection. The oysters and plantains were delicious as well.
