You’ll find Plate at No. 6 down a cobbled lane in the heart of Windsor, nestled amongst the pubs and boutiques of the old town. We are a tapas restaurant, drawing upon the culinary riches of the Mediterranean Basin; our plates reflect the diversity of cuisines found in Spain, Turkey, France, Morocco, Italy, Greece and Lebanon. All our dishes are created by our head chef Olindo who draws on these inspirations his signature dishes including a seafood gnocchi.

The open kitchen and lime wash walls define the chic, intimate dining space of Plate at No.6. Our famous Mediterranean warmth and relaxed ambience welcomes work mates and first dates, quiet drinks, and family celebrations.

A selection of wines have been selected by Sicilian sommelier and Italian wine expert Virgilio Gennaro and cocktails are designed by Regan Fernandes to compliment the fresh, coastal flavours that will revolve around seasonal and local availability. The only thing you’ll find in our freezer will be ice cream.

A great evening with my two daughters. We had seen it in the summer, only just now got round to trying it out. Our table wasn't quite ready when we arrived, but that was OK. We were offered free drinks while we waited, and the table was ready within 5 minutes. We were on a quieter side, which was just perfect for us. The other side was buzzing with a lovely lively ambiance. Food selection was great, even though we had one that doesn't eat red meat. Plus they said they could swap things in and out if we asked. Lovely flavours in the dishes. Just all a little different from your average tapas. Was also great seeing the kitchen being given a good clean at the end of the evening. And to end, the three members of the team serving us were great, and we couldn't have been better looked after. We'll be back!

1st visit to this venue last night and we had a superb evening. Food was absolutely delicious and the all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful (even though it was very busy). Definitely will be going back here.

Top quality food at great prices. One of the best restaurants in Windsor. You will not be disappointed.

I stayed in Windsor for the night on a long layover back to NYC. I searched for a good restaurant to eat at and stumbled upon Plate at No. 6. This made our layover an experience. We were sat by Graeme (not sure on exact spelling), the owner who was absolutely and apologetically, charmingly himself. A very unique individual with a varied and global background. One could tell he cherishes his work and takes pride in his restaurant. The staff were cheerful and helpful as well. This isn’t even the good part. Everything on the menu sounded incredible and they make the bread daily on site. Fish are never frozen. In fact he was lamenting that he took an item off the menu because they could no longer guarantee the quality he wanted. We ordered 5 items, tapas style, and the portions were generous for how high the quality was. I won’t name the items because honestly I don’t think you can go wrong here. I will say we got the lemon polenta cake with pistachio crumble at the end and it was divine. Tasted fresh and just the right amount of sweet (which is less than normal but enough to scratch the itch). My only regret, truly, was not arriving with 4 or 5 people because I wanted to try everything. Could not recommend more.

I booked Plate at No 6 on the back of all the positive reviews on this site and others. We were not disappointed. The restaurant is tucked away on a charming side street very near the castle entrance. The food was fresh, beautifully presented and delicious, and the service outstanding. We received a wonderful, warm welcome from the manager (or more probably, the owner(?)), who talked us through the menu and helped us to order. Clearly, his warmth is also felt by the staff because towards the end of the menu they surprised him with a cake - it was his bbirthday. He is clearly proud of his team, and rightly so, because they have created a really lovely place to eat.

Amazing service from Graeme. Deliciously fresh food all made on site. All fish is fresh. Nice wine list. Top restaurant in Windsor.

This is my second visit in as many week to Plate No6 in Windsor and what a hidden gem this restaurant is. Service is always excellent and you are made to feel very welcome from the moment you arrive. We ordered the Chicken (Tasty and succulent), Honey Polenta (extremely moorish), Cod Provencal (Really fresh), Falafel (which my wife said was the best she had eaten) and the bread & dips (which if you love bread I can highly recommend as its the best bread I've eaten) Everything is freshly made on site and genuinely we will be back, this restaurant is one of the best local restaurants we have dined in (and I eat out a lot) so 100% you should try this place as you won't be disappointed !!
