You’ll find Plate at No. 6 down a cobbled lane in the heart of Windsor, nestled amongst the pubs and boutiques of the old town. We are a tapas restaurant, drawing upon the culinary riches of the Mediterranean Basin; our plates reflect the diversity of cuisines found in Spain, Turkey, France, Morocco, Italy, Greece and Lebanon. All our dishes are created by our head chef Olindo who draws on these inspirations his signature dishes including a seafood gnocchi.

The open kitchen and lime wash walls define the chic, intimate dining space of Plate at No.6. Our famous Mediterranean warmth and relaxed ambience welcomes work mates and first dates, quiet drinks, and family celebrations.

A selection of wines have been selected by Sicilian sommelier and Italian wine expert Virgilio Gennaro and cocktails are designed by Regan Fernandes to compliment the fresh, coastal flavours that will revolve around seasonal and local availability. The only thing you’ll find in our freezer will be ice cream.

I booked Plate at No 6 on the back of all the positive reviews on this site and others. We were not disappointed. The restaurant is tucked away on a charming side street very near the castle entrance. The food was fresh, beautifully presented and delicious, and the service outstanding. We received a wonderful, warm welcome from the manager (or more probably, the owner(?)), who talked us through the menu and helped us to order. Clearly, his warmth is also felt by the staff because towards the end of the menu they surprised him with a cake - it was his bbirthday. He is clearly proud of his team, and rightly so, because they have created a really lovely place to eat.

Amazing service from Graeme. Deliciously fresh food all made on site. All fish is fresh. Nice wine list. Top restaurant in Windsor.

This is my second visit in as many week to Plate No6 in Windsor and what a hidden gem this restaurant is. Service is always excellent and you are made to feel very welcome from the moment you arrive. We ordered the Chicken (Tasty and succulent), Honey Polenta (extremely moorish), Cod Provencal (Really fresh), Falafel (which my wife said was the best she had eaten) and the bread & dips (which if you love bread I can highly recommend as its the best bread I've eaten) Everything is freshly made on site and genuinely we will be back, this restaurant is one of the best local restaurants we have dined in (and I eat out a lot) so 100% you should try this place as you won't be disappointed !!

Excellent food and an interestingly novel take on tapas that feels familiar but different. The host took great care of my date and I recommending plates and very attentive service without being intrusive. A real find.

Nice little restaurant tucked away behind the main high street. Excellent service. Menu explained with recommendations. Good choice of tapas dishes all of which were very good, especially the prawns & the cod dishes. Exceptional value for money given the quality of the produce.

Tapas style plates, good but not exceptional, would have appreciated some bread to go with the meal as some lovely garlic butter with prawns were crying out to be mopped up. Expensive for what you got. Doubt if we would go back. Waiters very pleasant,
