Plants by DE highlights the delicious diversity and abundance of plants. You’ll find anything from vegan vanilla pancakes with roasted strawberries to a refreshing baby gem Caesar salad with macadamia parmesan or a warming heritage tomato summer stew with aubergines, chickpeas and delicious pesto.
We make everything in house, including our cultured vegan butter, cashew crème fresh, and crushed walnut parmesan.

In summer, our outside seating let's you enjoy the nice weather, while our cozy and light interior gives our guests to enjoy the deliciousness of plant-based food all year round.

Unfortunately, we’re unable to cater for severe plant-based allergies at this time. Thank you for your understanding.

We look forward to welcoming you Monday - Saturday. Closed on Sundays.

The excellent food is overshadowed by the abysmal service. This was our second visit and we had the same lovely waitress as last time. But unbeknownst to us, booking at 8:30 was a problem....for the staff, not us! If you don't want customers coming that late, don't take the booking! We were seated at a small table for just the two of us. We ordered four dishes plus bread and cocktails. They brought out the dishes immediately (so much for made to order) and brought out everything at once! There wasn't room at the table for the serving dishes along with our dining plates. We had to put everything else on the floor. The food, though delicious, was brought out all at once since clearly the staff did not want us staying long. Barely ten minutes into dining, we were asked to look at dessert menus and order dessert. When I told the man I had no way of knowing at that point if I would have room for dessert, I wanted to wait before ordering. He took the dessert menus in a huff and clearly decided for us NO DESSERT FOR YOU! I asked for a small glass of tap water so I could take a pill that I must take before dining. After asking several times, I was brought a huge pitcher of water (though we had no place to put it) and no glass in which to pour it! While we were eating, the staff, especially this particularly rude man, began cleaning up other tables, and setting up for the next day. Lights were dimmed and it was clear that while we were still eating, dinner was over! The Open Table web site asked if it was a special occasion and I had indicated that yes, it was our wedding anniversary (and a special one at that). No one so much as wished us a happy anniversary! Why bother to ask if you clearly don't care! We were in and out before we knew what hit us. Subsequently, we read MANY other reviews of similar poor service and those reviews were steady over a long period of time. Clearly, the delicious Ella does not care.

Loved it! The food is 100% vegan and 100% epic. We even got free granola bars from Ella’s product range. Will return!

Fresh ingredients, good taste. Good atmosphere. Cheesecake was an odd dish. Torte could of been softer

Good was amazing just lovely! The female waitress was very attentive. However the male was actually overly forceful in all our dealings with him ! We asked if we could sit outside for coffee and he made his point loudly and with unnecessary spiel. Apart from him super restaurant.

It was a delight to have a choice of everything on the menu. A rare thing for a vegan. Every dish was very tasty, but we particularly enjoyed the chickpea fritters and the fresh bread. And the Chocolate Torte for dessert was excellent as well. I wish we had a Plants near us in Sydney!
