Great new addition to Glen Cove food scene. Newly opened and still getting a few kinks out, but very impressive and fun. A must visit.

Wow! What a transformation from the previous grand dame that once lived in the same spot. Plado is where it's at this second. Artistic decor with textures and treatments. Moody & sexy. Small plated wonders filled with bright and delicious flavors. We shared baby artichokes, seared tuna, orecchiette w brocc rabe & sausage, a little pot of mussels and clams in a yummy curry fennel sauce...super flavorful. Their bread is homemade and delicious. We couldn't resist dessert, a butter pecan creme brulee all silky and creamy, dotted with pecans & crumble. Don't miss this new kid on the block featuring small plate meals.

This was our second time here and we will be regulars. We love small plates and sharing a bunch of different things which is the concept of this restaurant, however, you could definitely choose a dish or two per person if you’re not into sharing. Very beautiful inside, good music but not distracting, all of the food is amazing and you can tell the ingredients are fresh and high quality. This is some of the best food we’ve ever had and we’re looking forward to trying more items. The best dish is the taro gnocchi and we will get it every time. Even if you think you don’t like gnocchi, you should try this, this is nothing like your typical gnocchi. Light, airy, and with the most delicious truffle sauce. I believe all of their pasta is homemade and you can really tell. We also really enjoyed the tortelli. Other standouts are the short ribs; so tender, with a beautiful sauce and vegetables, and raisins (and I don’t even like raisins but they were so good). The arancina was also delicious as long as you like mushrooms. It’s one big arancina with lots of mushrooms and another beautiful sauce. Don’t skip on dessert. The mini doughnuts were so light and airy but the real star was the chocolate tart affogato which is a rich and fudgy chocolate tart and homemade gelato with espresso poured over the top. So delicious. Their gelato alone is amazing, as they make it homemade, but with the chocolate tart and espresso, it’s out of this world. We also tried several cocktails and all were delicious!

The food was fantastic. Service was a little slow but it was the first Saturday night they were open and the place was packed. They handled it very well.

First time diners and service and food was impeccable. Johnny our server was friendly and understanding helping us to order for my 2yr old son and making adjustments for the flatbread. Wife loved her drink and the ambiance was awesome. We had the shoestring fries, flatbread, pasta, beef tartare and brisket croquettes. 10/10

We absolutely loved this newly open gem in Glen Cove. The service at Plado Tasting Bar was excellent! The staff is polite and attentive, going above and beyond to provide a wonderful eating experience. The atmosphere of this restaurant is outstanding. Whether dining indoors or al fresco, you will be surrounded by modern charm. Great menu choices with really delicious food and signature drinks at affordable prices. Highly recommend!

Drinks: The martini was served half full, which detracted from the presentation. Appetizers: The roasted cauliflower had only one roasted spot, leaving the rest soggy and unappealing. Main Courses: The brisket croques was served cold, with a pate-like texture, which was not enjoyable. It was The lasagna tasted good but was also cold, affecting the overall experience. Service: While polite, the service was inconsistent, with long delays between dishes and confusion about the orders. Dessert: The apple tart was dry, with tough apples, making it less than satisfying. It seems like both the food and service could benefit from improvement in consistency, temperature, and presentationñ.

Plado is off to a great start in Glen Cove. We shared a garden salad, which was bright, fresh, and crunchy, roasted carrots, which were perfectly caramelized, and the seared tuna, which was appropriately rare and tender. We will be back, without question!
