The authentic Italian restaurant with a separate martini bar, Pizzico Ristorante is a popular destination in Nashua for enjoying Italian homemade pizzas and pastas. I took my family to lunch on Mother's Day. I don't think the restaurant was staffed enough to serve the crowd since it was a Sunday. We waited for about an hour before we got our food. I don't think it was the fault of our waitress or the people preparing the food. I think they just didn't have enough people to work that day. Since this was my first and only visit to the restaurant I can't really say if any other day would be better, but the overall experience wasn't very good.1 personne a trouvé cet avis utile

I rarely give negative reviews but this was awful. The server didn’t bring bread or salads until he brought the meals and we prompted him to do so. The salad was made days before as it was wilted and smelled like a musty refrigerator. The shrimp scampi was drenched in a canned and flavorless Alfredo sauce. The shrimp was fishy smelling and well over cooked. I couldn’t eat it. The pizza had so much cheese we nearly choked on it. The house Cabernet smelled and tasted like vinegar. That’s my fault for ordering it. Then the price for the whole meal was outrageous given what we received. The server asked me if I wanted to take the scampi to go - and I just laughed and said no. Never asked me if anything was wrong so I didn’t bother. I just wanted to leave. Note: I do not have high expectations. I’m not a food snob. This place was just horrible. Honestly I didn’t love it! We came here for a work function. I made the reservation in April. When we arrived they didn’t see to anticipate us coming. Table wasn’t set up, no one really welcomed us. I stood at the take out counter for awhile. Our service was slow - we said we were waiting for one other person but the waiter didn’t come back to refill drinks or just check on us. We grabbed a drink at the bar before happy hour. Had a long wait, I was afraid I’d miss happy hour. The two bartenders were busy but didn’t even acknowledge us to say we’ll be right with you, I had to ask. Could over hear them complaining about how busy they were, out of cups, etc. food was okay, served at 8 pm for a 6 pm reservation. I left a great tip. I know how hard everyone was working. Greeted promptly. Requested table in bar area and they gladly accommodated. The bar area has a great vibe. Our waitress quickly came to our table and greeted us. She was very friendly and never rushed us the entire evening. Food, drinks and service gets top ratings.
