First the good things: the food was fantastic. We had Rapini, and beets with goat cheese as an appetizer, and we shared a Diovola pizza for dinner. It was extremely tasty, and fresh. The crust is slightly sweet and chewy. Very great pizza indeed! We did however, find that we were very close to the table next to us. (Not a lot of room in between tables.) And the noise level in the restaurant was very high when it filled up with people. What with concrete walls, it’s difficult to expect a more quiet environment. Therefore, if you have any hearing difficulties, this could be not a place that you would enjoy being at, although it is a matter of priorities, I suppose. It’s probably fair to mention that when we first arrived, the noise level was not quite that high because the restaurant was only about a third full. But by the time we were ordering our meal, it got much busier and therefore much noisier.

Amazing waiter! The pizzas there are amazing - the salmon on my salad was dry…but had it in their kale and jicama salad next day and it was actually much tastier

Took my kid to this dinner, and telling him that Libretto was iconic. I credited Libretto for being at the forefront of Toronto's Neapolitan pizza craze. We arrived right as it opened for dinner service, so there was no issue with crowds or volume. But service was only just okay. Food was the most disappointing. Rapini was yellow, and so tough and stringy as to be almost inedible. Pizzas were so sparsely topped, that my slice of the salami pizza had no salami on it. Two (essentially) cheese pizzas with a smattering of topping, inedible rapini, a beer, and two soft drinks for $90. Never again. This city has SO many great pizza places (thanks because of the pioneering work of Libretto) that I'll be much happier going to the competition.

I had a very nice dinner with an old friend. Our server was great, very good humoured and attentive, while giving us lots of time. We appreciated having our bill divided up at the end even though we forgot to ask for separate bills. The Arancini were fabulous, just as good as I remembered, and the prix fixe menu and happy hour specials are really good value.

I've been to other locations. Host was very nice and accommodating. Of the two pizzas ordered, The NY style was fine. However, the Napolitana style was RAW. I mean wet, chewy dough that couldn't be cut. We sent the bad one back and they tried to recook it...no better and sent back. The waiter was 'kind' enough to say, "We are going to take that one off the bill." "....ya think????"

Initially seated at the back, I requested a table by the window up front so the volume of noise was moderated. For those who love a buzzier vibe, the back of the restaurant would be fine. We thoroughly enjoyed the arancini, arugula, pear and walnut salad and the sausage pizza with chili oil - the less spicy one of two - and the lemon dessert. All dishes were excellent. The server was pleasant, knowledgeable and prompt. We were very satisfied with our dining experience.

I love the vegan options - now there is a happy hour with food and drink items until 7pm. Appreciate being able to get vegan cheese subbed on pizza for no extra fee. Food always tastes delicious and there isn't a "vegan tax"! Highly recommend to anyone looking to eat plant based.
