Located in a restored unused pavilion attached to a small public park, Pique-Nique is a french restaurant from the team behind Casse-Croûte. There's an expertly chosen wine list, a range of seasonal starters, mains to share and great desserts. Always a fantastic restaurant. Inventive food, decent prices, great atmosphere, lovely conservatory. Great for families and young children. One of our favourites.

Taking one's partner for a special celebratory dinner in an unfamiliar city is bound to lead to some anxiety. But the reviews were good and the idea of a shared main course was intriguing. I needn't have worried. A welcoming warm ambience, attentive and knowledgeable staff, and skilfully cooked and well-presented food made our evening everything I had hoped it would be. The menu is displayed on a series of large blackboards and the waiting staff explain it it good detail. I think it changes quite frequently so I won't go into detail about the food except to say that, to my mind, the flavours and textures have been well thought-out, the cooking performed with skill and the presentation with elegance. Our shared main course of veal en croute was a gorgeous-looking creation, expertly carved at the table and served with the most delicious reduction. A selection of suggested wines is displayed on another board but there is also a more extensive wine list. Desserts were varied and generous. A lovely evening in a lively, interesting restaurant. Highly recommended.

Great location in park, lovely summers day with doors open. Food excellent and service perfect, informative but not intrusive. I love this restaraunt!

Simply Brilliant! from start to finish the whole team looked after us so well. One of the best meals in London I have had.

I have been to Pique Nique a few times over the years and I am disappointed to say that the service was not what it was. We had to ask for drinks menus and nobody came to check if our food was ok or if we needed anything else. We had to ask to order a second round of drinks and they arrived after we finished the mains. :(

It's a while since I have been here having been to Casse-Croûte earlier this year and been a tad disappointed due to how noisy it was. Came on a balmy summer evening mid-week. It was busy and a little noisy, but convivial and easier on the ears. Excellent service, very well-informed staff, our food was exceptional. The mains are shared, and my supper date has a mushroom allergy which meant we had what felt like the wooden spoon of chicken, chips and salad. Far from it. Rarely have a left a restaurant so fulfilled and full. Delicious and generous. Our server offered excellent wine matches.

Just rather noisy so hard to chat. Casse croute is more cosy and intimate. I did wonder how two people could eat separate food though as the mains were to share. The starter of artichoke was disappointing , but the entrecôte was exceptional. Followed by warm raspberry soufflé which was wonderful.. the chocolate fondant was perfect.. both served with with quenelles of ice cream. All in all it was French cooking at its best and reasonably priced for such a delicious supper.
