Pimienta Bistro and Bar is an urban fusion of Latin American cuisine. Chef Blanca Rodriguez takes great care to create a delectable piece of art for every guest, appealing to every sense.

We strive to provide exemplary service each and every visit for our guests. We invite you to our restaurant, where you will find a combination of an eclectic, rustic atmosphere that captures the best of European cuisine with a Latin American flair.

Our mission is to create something memorable with every dish we present our guests. And with every delectable plate,

we will deliver a superior service making us a stand-alone restaurant in our neighborhood.

We love our friends and neighbors from NE Tacoma, Brown’s Point and Federal Way that frequently drop by for a delicious weekday meal or for leisurely weekend dining.

We also enjoy the regular visits from our friends in Oregon and others on their travels throughout the Seattle-Metro area.

Pimienta is a hidden gem and our favorite place for date nights in our neighborhood. Most recent dinner was delicious as usual: red snapper and ahi tuna entrees and the notable pork belly appetizer. I also enjoyed delicious margaritas made with the new house tequila! We'll be back soon.

Pimienta is where we go when we want to celebrate a a special occasion. The food is incredible as well as the ambiance and service. Blanca is an incredible chef and we always have a wonderful experience. We like to come early before they get crowded.

Anniversary dinner at Pimienta. Soup du jour and pork chops were delicious. Always look forward to returning.

I have been here many times and it never fails to disappoint. The food is always divine, the service is great. The specials are fantastic. I will keep coming back.

The food wasn’t worth the cost at all, the drinks were way too strong and pricey for what you’re getting, didn’t not live up to our expectations which we tried to keep low and even with that it wasn’t worthwhile. I don’t recommend coming here as the food is hit or miss in quality/how good it is. The ambience was eh, the paintings/decor was cool but not much else help set any kind of mood. It’s in an odd location and tucked away by a car wash, so despite it seeming like it’s a fancy restaurant online or maybe a good date night restaurant, it isn’t. There’s better places for the same price or less. If you have high expectations for food that costs $30-50 dollars an entree then it’s best to go elsewhere or to somewhere you know is solid. They served one of the drinks wrong, which they got a lemoncello mixed up with moscato. So just overall, best to eat here on either someone else’s dime or not at all.

Our server seemed overwhelmed and, thereby, less attentive than expected in a bistro with several empty tables. My martini was excellent which I enjoyed throughout much of my dinner but it was unexpectedly and inappropriately cleared from the table with some of the drink remaining. My wife’s seafood linguine was very good; however, my lamb chops were over an inch thick making them difficult to eat. In hindsight I should have inquired how they would be served.
