Italian Restaurant& wine bar in Sarasota. Where you are a stranger only once.
His philosophy served him well with his previous Sarasota businesses. Café Gabbiano located on Siesta Key was originated by the Migliaccio family in 2003 where is four sons grew in and out of the restaurant business.
A second venture in downtown Sarasota was opened and designed by Pietro in 2012 named Casantica, a small old house converted to a quaint homey restaurant. Both restaurants are now under new ownership.
Now, this small intimate place is where I can have fun serving and meeting new friends. Benvenuti.

The food was very good and service was excellent. Limoncello cake was to die for. Once the 2 tables left that were across from ours we could converse easily. Near the end of our visit, a loud table was seated near by. We will still return! Ambiance was cozy.

We usually wait a week or to after opening night to have them work out all the kinks. We went opening night because we knew they would be on point as they always were at previous locations. They did a great job renovating. The food was great and service was excellent. Can’t wait to go back.

We really liked the service and they paid attention to our special occasion note. We received a different bottle of wine than we ordered. No one noticed until we had taken a sip. The bill was adjusted when we found the wine we ordered on the wine menu The lasagna was good but not great and the shrimp fra diablo was just ok. We had such high hopes based on friends’ recommendations but the food didn’t live up to it.

Peter and Susan and their staff always provide the the warmest and most caring dining experience to all who join them for a meal. The service is exemplary and the food is without a doubt the best in Sarasota. Peter has been a master chef for decades and has searched throughout Italy to find the finest wines to private label for his guests to enjoy. We have had the pleasure to dine with Peter and Susan for more than 20 years and always look forward to each new occasion. It’s like coming home to family.

My wife, daughter, and myself celebrated Fathers Day on Saturday night at Pietro’s. The food and service were outstanding as usual. We all had a veal dishes which were flawlessly prepared. I am originally from Northern New Jersey just outside of Midtown Manhattan which is the countries epicenter for Italian food. Having said that, I have never dined at a better Italian restaurant anywhere in my life I would rate Pietro’s as an 11 out of 10! It is my all time favorite restaurant!

Service and food was amazing .. we had the veal chop special .. one was Parmigiana and the other was Marsala .. They were delicious.. We did get an eggplant rolatini for an appetizer it was very good but came out cold . Service was spot on .. Will definitely be back ❤️❤️
