Depuis sa création en 1999, le Pierpont's at Union Station a élaboré des plats et fourni un service aussi mémorables que son cadre historique. Tirant son nom du chemin de fer du notable J.P. (Pierpont) Morgan, le Pierpont's sert des steaks de qualité parfaitement maturés et des fruits de mer frais du jour. Pour accompagner les délices culinaires, le restaurant propose une vaste carte des vins comprenant des bouteilles provenant du monde entier. L'établissement possède également un superbe bar à deux étages équipé d'une échelle de bibliothèque coulissante. Les salles à manger privées, situées dans la cave à vin, et la mezzanine du Pierpont donnant sur le hall spacieux, constituent un cadre plus intime pour les groupes de six à soixante personnes. Only negative was the beet salad was 90% arugula with literally 4 cubes of beets. It was delicious, but if you are going to call it beet salad, bring on the beets!

Overall, this was a great experience. A friend and I decided on this restaurant as part ok KCRW. We got there early so got a drink and appetizer at the bar. I got the crab cakes. Normally, I would rave about crab cakes, however these fell short. They didn't seem fresh, more like something made the day before and just reheated. My friend got the cauliflower app, which was very good. She also got a couple chocolate martini's also very good. We then got sat at our table. Got a couple more drinks. I got a Bellini martini, yum! She got the wedge salad and I got the crab bisque for the app. Both very good, I could eat the bisque every day! For our main, we both got the filet with mashed potato asparagus. The steak was cooked perfectly med-rare for me and medium for her. The bread, so good, I had to get more. When it was time for dessert, we had to get it to go. The hostesses, bar tender and server were excellent. Very professional and attentive, but not overboard. This is not normally a place that I could afford an a regular occasion so I was glad to see this on KCRW lineup. Great experience, and would to visit again as a date night in the future 🙂

I have eaten lunch at Pierpont’s a few times and thought it was delicious. Today was 1st time for brunch and food was ok. I ordered off the restaurant weeks menu. Coffee cake was good, but not amazing. The Strata was almost all bread without much flavor. The ham in it was chewy. My husband ordered chicken and biscuit with gravy off regular menu. The chicken was good, gravy was cold and also tasted the like the roux was burnt when making it. Service was terrific, but definitely disappointed in the food this time.

My husband ordered the bison ribeye. In hindsight he wished he had gotten the filet. Too much fat. Our waiter was excellent but they brought our food out too quickly. We wished we had more time to visit first. Missed seeing Emanuel

We went and had brunch during Restaurant Week. In my opinion, the only items that I enjoy were the coffee cake and the Martini. I thought the food was bland and the service wasn't what I thought it would be. Our server wasn't the nicest, and the food runner kind of plot our food on the table in front of us. For a higher end restaurant, I thought the service would be a little bit better.
