We are a Restaurant specialising in Pies served daily from 12pm for both dine in and take away, we open early in the morning offering coffee and sweet treats throughout the day, our bar opens daily from 12pm too and our upstairs cocktail lounge is open

    Pies and veg were excellent, chips weren't crispy so I didn't give the food 5 stars! Good choice of drinks and friendly, prompt service.

    If you love pie this place is for you. I had steak & ale pie, mash, cabbage and gravy and it was absolutely delicious. Be sure to book as the place was very busy and most tables were reserved. Seriously good pies.

    Always friendly staff and have excellent knowledge of the food in offer. Quick service and always.of the best quality Would recommend for any occasion

    We have enjoyed several meals at Pie Street in recent years and love their simple approach, 1) Choose a Pie, 2) Choose your potatoes, 3) Choose a sauce. The pies are very tasty, with lovely pastry, well cooked potatoes and greens. The ingredients are local. On this visit in the evening, several of our party of 8 were not as hungry as we sometimes are, so 2 pairs of us asked to share a pie between 2 people. Whilst I felt that the waiter wasn't too impressed by this, we were pleasantly surprised when the meal was brought out that we each had half a pie on a plate with a generous portion of potatoes and greens, and half of the chosen sauce each, all in individual jugs. This made the sharing experience so much better than expected. The building has a lot of character, and generally the staff are very friendly and welcoming, although on this occasion they seemed a little quiet. We love eating at Pie Street, the pies really are wonderful, and the sauces, potatoes and greens are all very tasty. We had a number of vegetarians and a gluten free person in our party, all of us were well catered for. I'm very much looking forward to our next meal at Pie Street.

    Good food but very limited options for gluten free. Service was fine but ambience was mediocre - we were the only ones dining at one point. Great value but such a shame I was unable to leave a tip - they only take cash tips. They need to rethink this as fewer and fewer people are carrying cash these days, me included.

    Small but perfectly put together menu of pies. Family owned which shows in the care and attention given to the diners. We had the chicken and beef and both were beautiful. Moist, tasty, pastry was perfectly cooked. I had the sticky toffee pud which was delicious. Bit more ice cream with it would have been nice but, like the pies, was delicious. Nice to see local beers on menu. We had a table by the window which was cosy and allowed us to watch the world go by. Toilets were clean and nicely decorated. Would go again and recommend to friends and family.
