Lovely meal from a menu that offers better than average choices. Had to wait a while for the meal to be served but it was worth the wait. Service was friendly and efficient. We will be going back.

Welcome greeting very friendly staff. Service was excellent. Food was well presented and well cooked. My husband had the trout and said it was the beast meal he had out gor a very long time. Well done,we will be back.

The food was good, very tasty and hot. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Service was prompt and we had a pleasant time and enjoyed our meal.

We waited 1 hour 10 minutes for our food which was average….even though it wasn’t busy.

The steak and ale pie was delicious but the fish and chips seemed to be missing some fish. The batter was lovely and crispy but there wasn’t much fish inside it which spoilt it. The service was quite slow even though it didn’t seem to be busy.

Another wonderful meal at the Pickering Arms, food was fantastic and the options on the food and drink appealed to everyone in the group, really pleased with the service provided, will definitely visit again soon

Service was very slow thoughout lunch to an unreasonable level. I ordered the crispy beef salad which had a nice flavour but wasn’t crispy. Then when our desserts came my crumble was cold, the custard luke warm and my guests cheesecake was warm like it had been microwaved from frozen but for a bit too long. It’s a shame as it was our first time there since the change of management.

Very disappointing from past visits after new management. No fresh onion soup after we had ordered it. Food came out, and looked very bland, no garnish on plate. I was that shocked I forgot to take photo! But it did taste nice. I had veggie burger. Was not asked if we needed any sauce, I had to help myself and this was from manager! No one came to ask if we wanted a sweet, so went to bar to pay the bill. It used to be very nice in here but will think twice about eating in here again.
