I found the female server rather sullen. She was 'efficient' but not 'pleasant'.

Excellent customer service form straight away when we went into the restaurant.The food was outstanding and the wine was even better

The food quality is always excellent. We had a negroni and a friends with benefits to start. Both spot on. The food we ordered was straightforward, but so beautifully cooked and carefully flavoured that it felt as special as it should be. The tortellini was perfect. Cooked, but with bite. The sauce, filling, little extras such as the nuts were spot on. My pizza with yellow tomato base and whipped burrata and basil was fantastic. My only complaint is linked to my deep love of anchovies: there are never enough. Service was attentive, without being over/bearing. The music was very good and seemed popular at every table. Piccolonos Didsbury always feels like a special treat.

Lovely restaurant with polite and helpful staff. Enjoyed family meal to celebrate son’s 18th birthday. Would recommend this restaurant.

Piccolino Didsbury is my favourite restaurant and always my first choice. The service on the whole was good, but there was a mix up with my boyfriend and father's main meals, and we were waiting a while for them to come back to the table. There was an issue with portion sizes. Understand it's on the specials, but the starter was more substantial than the main.

Very welcoming restaurant. Plenty of choice and good, attentive service. Some parts of the meal were excellent- other dishes a bit more average (the steak in particular). What put a dampener on it was an excessive (as in shouting and screaming) noisy table of 4 who shrieked their way through their meal (when not vaping behind their menus). Staff were aware (it was very hard not to be) but nothing was said/done. I’m all for having a great time but this did put a bit of a dampener on our meal as we literally could not hear each other!

Lovely evening sitting on the heated patio with friends. Good selection of cocktails and we enjoyed our margaritas, Bellinis and martini. Nice wine, decent price. The new (?) menu has a lot of choice, we liked our pasta and risotto and salads then dessert. Service very good. I've never had a disappointing meal here, seems to have something for everyone.
