This place has an an energetic vibe that attracts a more upscale clientele than most Third Avenue restaurants. Also, for a restaurant that is not premium priced, the service was amazing: our water glasses were constantly being refilled, the tables were wiped clean of crumbs everytime a drink or plate was delivered to our table or cleared. All four of us thought the food was very good. Prices are maybe 25% higher than moderate Italian restaurants a few blocks east but that was a bargain given the quality of the food, the fun ambience, and the superior service.

Pretentious wine list, no American wines, too pricey Italian wines. House ravioli very heavy pasta, didn't 'look' like a ravioli but the stuffed pork sausage was very good. But tonight's special was another ravioli that was Very good, and a lot of it. Menu's tough with basic English translations of their Italian cuisine. Especially prompt table service with bus boys quick and pleasant. I just thought it was all a bit much.

Piccola Cucina is a small and charming restaurant that features the warmth of your Nonna’s kitchen. Erica and the rest of the staff are accommodating and welcoming, and the food is excellent and beautifully presented. Be sure to end your meal with the table side preparation of Tiramisu.

My new FAVORITE restaurant in NYC. The food was absolutely delicious ... waitstaff was friendly and warm/excellent service. Priced right/great value. Definitely coming back again SOON.
