A warm welcome to Pianillo Chertsey, the home of the very finest italian food. Pianillo has been established in Chertsey, London since February 2008. Pianillo is a family established restaurant, which originated from Hamburg, in Germany. Since our arrival in Chertsey, we have had the privilege of serving our beautiful customers, who have now become also our friends.

On a visit to Thorpe park and came for food at Pianillo’s on a Monday evening. Greeted by a friendly and accommodating restaurant manager. He was very helpful and accommodating with a fantastic sense of humour. The food was outstanding and service was exceptional. Would return on our next visit to Thorpe park.

We ate here on a Saturday night which I think explained the noise level! Good atmosphere - however, it appeared most people were having to shout to be heard over the live music! Live music is always a plus - but it has to be at a level that’s suitable to the audience ! Great idea having live music but (and there’s no nice way of putting this) having a good vocalist who could actually sing in key would have made it perfect !

Extremely disappointing welcome that clouded the evening. After booking three weeks ahead and confirming in advance, we were recepted by a young woman who glanced at us with a look of surprise that we had entered the restaurant and explained that we had a reservation! (She did not even ask the name for the reservation)Then without a word she went and spoke to a colleague further away who hurried over and after giving my name and explaining that we had a reservation the colleague without acknowledging that we had a reservation led us to an unprepared table! We noticed all other tables had been prepared with cutlery and menus. Unfortunately Pianillo failed in our experience failed to live up to the glowing recommendation a friend had given us and some of the reviews I have since read. Won’t be back.

We had a fabulous evening at Pianillo! The host greeted us and looked after our every need. The vibe in the restaurant was music that we all enjoyed. But the best part of the evening was the food, it was spectacular. I had the Spaghetti Dello Chef, which was seriously tasty and best pasta I have had, I will be going back soon for that one. My hubby had the Funghi risotto; my teenage daughter had Penne Romana and my youngest had Spaghetti Carbonara. They all enjoyed their meals. Then dessert was Crème Brûlée; lemon cheese cake and then a kids marshmallow pizza. KIDS EAT for £1 for their entire meal on Mondays! Such a bargain.

Great service and buzzy atmosphere. A little too noisy at times for our more mature ears! Food was very good, only comment on the menu is that we would have liked to have seen more fish and chicken selections (without pasta or risotto). Fabulous evening, big thank you to the lovely staff.

Me and 3 friends went last night none of us had been since changed hands / name to Pianillo we all had a starter which we shared absolutely lovely food fresh tomatoes bruschetta.. squid.. Camberoni - the nicest sauce so delicate .. and fromaggio which literally melted in your mouth.. we went on to mains 2 pasta dishes and 2 risotto dishes all absolutely perfect freshly cooked pasta and sauces to match just perfect.. 2 of the girls managed dessert which were also mouth watering amazing fudge cake and crème brûlée.. The staff were amazing attentive but not over powering on the way out we met the owner who showed us the lovely wine cellar .. This restaurant is an absolute Gem and we are already planning our next trip there .. And just to add brilliant value for money very reasonable 😊
