Situated overlooking the water in Gunwharf Quays, Pho is a healthy Vietnamese restaurant that specialise in pho noodle soup, the national dish of Vietnam. Aside from pho, you can also expect to find amazing sharing starters, healthy salads, hearty rice bowls and decadent curries. They have a range of freshly made juices and also Vietnamese beers and a large wine and cocktail list. Pho’s menu is 40% vegan and nearly entirely gluten-free too. They also have an accessible kids’ menu where children can get a meal and a drink for £5.50

Absolutely beautiful food, staff were excellent, not a long wait at all for our food, we had to wait for our table but that was out of the restaurants control and they were very apologetic we will be back either to eat in or takeaway as the food is just delicious thank you

Unfortunately going bank holiday Monday you are never going to get the best experience, however as it was our first time we would not return as the service was slow, my food was like warm and quite bland. I’m sorry to have to say that as would rather give a good review than a not so good one .

Pho is genuinely the best chain restaurant around at the moment. My family and I go monthly and it is so delicious every time.

Service can be a little bit and miss but, on this occasion it was brilliant! Food came out really quickly and staff seemed in it - especially considering it was really busy!! Food is awesome as always, although I had the summer special Prawn & Pimlico salad… and omg it was spicy 🌶️ so beware 😂

Our experience was overall ok, I did book in advance and requested a quiet seating area. My booking wasn’t acknowledged at the door. I was told to just choose a seat by the window on one side of the restaurant only. Even though I had requested to be sat somewhere more out of the way of others due to an anniversary celebration. The hosting we received wasn’t the best. It lacked a lot of warmth. The service overall was just about ok. I had to ask for ice for my drinks 3 times from different servers. When my order was taken there wasn’t a review so the wrong wine size was brought over to me. My wine was also lukewarm. I did have a check back from another server, which in fact stood out amongst the other staff. Ollie was so friendly and was the light in the room. The atmosphere lacked majorly. Only one side of the restaurant was operating. even though there was 3 members of staff on the floor. Just felt as though there could’ve been more of a touch considering where the restaurant is located and that there is a service charge - there is an expectation to uphold. I did pay service in the end due to knowing how it is in the service industry I come from myself. However, overall wouldn’t come back due to these reasons. It’s been the 3rd time this has happened since January this year.

Great menu. We particularly enjoyed the selection of Soups, I really liked the crab soup!

We had lunch here to celebrate my son’s birthday. We did mention on the booking that it was to celebrate a birthday, but it wasn’t acknowledged at all at the restaurant sadly. I ordered the steak crab noodle soup with extra tofu and pak choi, which was very disappointing as I only found one piece of steak in the entire soup and very little tofu and pak choi, which I had paid extra for! I mentioned it to our server, who looked startled and said nothing but scuttled off to speak with her manager. The manager apologised and brought over a small bowl containing the missing ingredients of my soup, which had only consisted of bean shoots, noddles and one piece of steak along with a couple of small bits of tofu swimming around in a watery crab tomato broth. After adding the missing ingredients it did improve, but not enough to warrant ordering that meal again. My son and husband enjoyed their meals, but we felt it was overpriced for what it is.

The food was fantastic, service was fantastic ordered a starter, main cocktail and beer £45 and they even accommodated my friend who is autistic and picky with food so she had a lovely time as well

Fabulous meal, great value, lovely views over the Solent and superb staff. Highly recommend a trip to Pho with a special mention to the manager who was fantastic.
