Pho Guildford is a healthy Vietnamese restaurant with loads of vegan and gluten free options. We specialise in pho, the Vietnamese noodle soup, and also serve delicious curries, rice dishes, wok-fried noodles and healthy salads, too. We also have loads of starters that are perfect for sharing with friends and family. Over a third of our menu is vegan, and nearly all of it is gluten-free, so we are a great destination for people who follow those particular diets. We are accredited by Coeliac UK. Aside from our lovely food we offer a brilliant range of healthy juices, as well as delicious wine and beer, and a fantastic cocktail menu too. If you're unable to dine-in, you can click & collect your order, or find us on Deliveroo. We look forward to welcoming you!

The food was delicious. We tried Vietnamese cuisine for the first time & we definitely loved it. We would love to visit again :)

Initial server that greeted us was lovely, super bubbly and friendly and was super lovely with our very energetic 8 month old puppy. Server that took our order was quite quiet and despite it not being very busy the store was loud so it was harder for both us and him to understand us. I ordered a vegetarian dish and our order wasn't repeated back to us and that always makes me anxious as I want to make sure it's definitely vegetarian what I've ordered. Food was amazing as per usual and such a big bonus they are dog friendly :)

Food was delicious with amazing flavours. Service was a little slow but very friendly. I think service would have struggled had it been at a busier time. Definitely will go back again but when it’s not busy

We went to Pho Guildford on Saturday for an early dinner, we were greeted after waiting for a while at the door, ordered our drinks which took ages to arrive. We asked for tap water which never came and we then reminded our waiter. Ordered the summer rolls to then be told that they had no peanut butter sauce so changed our order to the savoury pancakes which we were then told were also not available. Our food arrived late and I had the rice dish which was full of shrimp with their shell on. We then asked for the bill, that was then forgotten whilst the same person walked past us a dozen times, we then re asked for the bill, the bill arrived and then we waited ages to pay. Worst service ever.

I have eaten here several times before and always had a good experience. Sadly Saturday night was a huge disappointment. We took our 2 boys there for a birthday dinner. We booked at 6.45pm, early enough for the kids not to be hangry. It was so slow. We did not receive our starters until after 8pm. It became evident that delivery drivers were getting priority for takeaways over in-house diners. There was constant stream of men in bike helmets at the door being given their orders. They were in my eyeline and it was really frustrating. When the food did arrive it was pretty average. Really disappointing experience. Not worth the wait or the money.

We had a dinner reservation. I ordered a tofu curry, my husband ordered a beef curry and we wanted a simple papaya salad to share. The waiter said that the salad comes with topping, i.e. prawns, chicken or "this is no chicken" and we can't just have a plain salad with no protein on. Since I don't eat meat, we chose to have the "this is no chicken" option. When the food arrived, instead of tofu, I was served a chicken curry, I only realised when I bit into a piece of chicken. No big deal, I spat it out and called for assistance. Unfortunately my husband's curry was right, but lukewarm, so he asked that to be heated up too. And the salad came with nothing on it - this is after we were told that we "have to have" one of the toppings. We asked the waiter who took the order where is the vegan protein, i.e. the "this is no chicken" pieces and he genuinely kept saying that there is nothing on top of the salad as we did not want the chicken, so here it is - "there is no chicken"!! :)) Then the manager came and she replaced my chicken curry for a tofu one, re-heated my husband's dish and said there is an option to have just the salad (the menu was not clear about that, perhaps it needs adjusting) and indeed there is "this is no chicken" option they serve - I began to think that I imagined such product exists on the market after the interaction with the waiter! Anyway, the manager was fantastic - we all had a good laugh about it, she apologised and as a goodwill gesture she did not charge us for the salad or my curry, which was lovely once it came with the tofu and not the real chicken. The food is amazing - aromatic, rich and wonderful. Perhaps the staff (not the manager, she was great!) needs to have a better understanding of English and a lot more training on what's on the menu and how to take the correct order, so a vegetarian doesn't end up with a chicken dish. We will be returning to Pho as the food is fabulous and even so things went wrong, it was all rectified.
