Pho Guildford is a healthy Vietnamese restaurant with loads of vegan and gluten free options. We specialise in pho, the Vietnamese noodle soup, and also serve delicious curries, rice dishes, wok-fried noodles and healthy salads, too. We also have loads of starters that are perfect for sharing with friends and family. Over a third of our menu is vegan, and nearly all of it is gluten-free, so we are a great destination for people who follow those particular diets. We are accredited by Coeliac UK. Aside from our lovely food we offer a brilliant range of healthy juices, as well as delicious wine and beer, and a fantastic cocktail menu too. If you're unable to dine-in, you can click & collect your order, or find us on Deliveroo. We look forward to welcoming you!

I have eaten here several times before and always had a good experience. Sadly Saturday night was a huge disappointment. We took our 2 boys there for a birthday dinner. We booked at 6.45pm, early enough for the kids not to be hangry. It was so slow. We did not receive our starters until after 8pm. It became evident that delivery drivers were getting priority for takeaways over in-house diners. There was constant stream of men in bike helmets at the door being given their orders. They were in my eyeline and it was really frustrating. When the food did arrive it was pretty average. Really disappointing experience. Not worth the wait or the money.

We had a dinner reservation. I ordered a tofu curry, my husband ordered a beef curry and we wanted a simple papaya salad to share. The waiter said that the salad comes with topping, i.e. prawns, chicken or "this is no chicken" and we can't just have a plain salad with no protein on. Since I don't eat meat, we chose to have the "this is no chicken" option. When the food arrived, instead of tofu, I was served a chicken curry, I only realised when I bit into a piece of chicken. No big deal, I spat it out and called for assistance. Unfortunately my husband's curry was right, but lukewarm, so he asked that to be heated up too. And the salad came with nothing on it - this is after we were told that we "have to have" one of the toppings. We asked the waiter who took the order where is the vegan protein, i.e. the "this is no chicken" pieces and he genuinely kept saying that there is nothing on top of the salad as we did not want the chicken, so here it is - "there is no chicken"!! :)) Then the manager came and she replaced my chicken curry for a tofu one, re-heated my husband's dish and said there is an option to have just the salad (the menu was not clear about that, perhaps it needs adjusting) and indeed there is "this is no chicken" option they serve - I began to think that I imagined such product exists on the market after the interaction with the waiter! Anyway, the manager was fantastic - we all had a good laugh about it, she apologised and as a goodwill gesture she did not charge us for the salad or my curry, which was lovely once it came with the tofu and not the real chicken. The food is amazing - aromatic, rich and wonderful. Perhaps the staff (not the manager, she was great!) needs to have a better understanding of English and a lot more training on what's on the menu and how to take the correct order, so a vegetarian doesn't end up with a chicken dish. We will be returning to Pho as the food is fabulous and even so things went wrong, it was all rectified.

Great family meal at Pho! Service was decent despite the waiter only being there for 3 days! The dragonfruit lemonade was very tasty, the spicy lemonade was a bit much with the ginger but I'm glad I tried it! The food was delicious and the bright green pandan waffle was very nice too!

Inattentive staff, mediocre food (only 2 prawns in a king prawn curry!), drab, dirty decor, stick to Wagamamas.

Confused waitering service, including on entering no clear place to wait to be shown to table. When we did approach a waiter they told us to go and wait by the door. Then when asked if we had a reservation (we did) they didn’t ask for the name or check, just showed us to a table. There didn’t seem to be an organised service with at least 2 waiters then asked us for our drinks orders within 5 mins, although 1 had already taken our order. The cocktails (supposedly with alcohol) just tasted very sweet syrup with crushed ice, no discernible flavours of were supposed to be the ingredients. One of our mains arrived whilst we were still eating our mains. We didn’t think it was Wagamama’s where you know to expect food at any time, we had both ordered starters and expected to eat those first and then perhaps a short wait, but for a 18:30 reservation they seemed very keen to turn around the tables very quickly even though there was plenty of space. Both of our mains were meh, my friend’s was beige and unappealing (supposed to be wok fried noodles, with vegetables and chicken), mine was overly sweet and otherwise little other flavour (chargrilled chicken thigh with rice bowl. I like my food, but left most of my main. Nobody asked us if our food was ok, otherwise I would have said, but also felt sorry for the staff as probably uni students just trying to earn some money, but I don’t think as the diner that then means the food and drinks shouldn’t be enjoyable.

The staff were lovely, and the food should have been as good as usual but for some reason one of our dishes was cold and one was incredibly salty. It was a Tuesday and quiet, so I wonder if the chef was off? I love Pho, so this was disappointing.
