Made reservations for bday dinner. It was crowded and noisy due to 4th of July. We looked forward to coming here and the Peking duck bc we eat it all the time when we dine out at Chinese restaurants and enjoy the duck being carved in front of you but it was quite disappointing. Perhaps I am used to the duck being carved with the skin and meat separately but the duck was carved with the skin, fat and meat all in one bulk piece! Skin was not crispy. Normally a whole duck carved will be about two plates but it was BARELY one full plate. I could clearly tell that there was a lot of meat on the duck bone itself but the woman didn’t cut any more. I did like that the pancake was thin and the duck sauce was different compared to other places. The cucumber and scallions were dry. We ordered other dishes such as Maine lobster, filet mignon, Shanghai noodles and veggies but it was all too salty, would have been nice if it was less salty. Shanghai noodles were good if it was less salty. Felt more Americanized Chinese and not authentic Chinese. Not sure if it was bc of the holiday that service and food was mediocre. Reservations indicated bday but restaurant didn’t really do anything for us. Our waiter was busy and forgetful that we had to repeatedly ask for something or wait for a long time. Asked for nice seating but the table provided to us was bit small and felt cramped in a corner. Table too small to order more food as we order a lot. Had to make room/arrange plates ourselves on the table once the duck arrived. Menu indicated they charge gratuity of 20% of 4+ people but were a party of 3. We normally tip more than 20% anyways but I guess they thought we weren’t going to tip at least 20%? Overall experience was mediocre and nothing great for a special occasion.

I enjoyed my dining experience! This was my first time and I would recommend and return. The food and service were great! We were there celebrating my husband’s birthday.

We were going to show at Arena Stage and wanted dinner before hand…by reviewing info on OpenTable, selected Philippe Chow..it was a great choice and we will go there again. Especially want to note the server as well as the hostesses..very friendly but very professional. Menu had too many delicious sounding choices - that was the only challenge…what to try. But we were both very pleased with our selections - I had tenderloin with green beans and my SO had prawns…we will definitely return to try other choices bc these were delicious.

We had a phenomenal birthday dinner with fantastic service. The Peking duck was legitimately the juiciest duck I've ever eaten, and absolutely delicious. They made our birthday guest's evening extra special… Delivering not one but two desserts that were complementary on the house! I unequivocably recommend dining here. My only minor complaint was that the music level was a bit high… We sometimes struggled to hear each other in conversation. If noise is an issue, one can always request to be seated outside.

Phillippe Chow is an fair restaurant. We ordered shrimp fried rice, dry, not moist. Three beef egg rolls, extremely small, beef? Crispy duck, crunchy, chewy. Large green parns, this is large?, spicy. Service and view is excellent, I can't say this about the food. We waited at forty-five minutes for food service. Plan to spend the big bucks here. They do not valid for parking in the garage.

Service was terrible for the price. Very inattentive. Took forever to get drinks and then even longer for food. Food was slightly better than your average Americanized Chinese restaurant. Save your money and go to Baileys Crossroads.

It was definitely an improvement from the last time I dined here. The staff was more engaging and less talkative. The food was good, and I will be back.
