Nestled in the heart of downtown Western Springs, Petite Vie offers a menu curated with classic French dishes infused with Chef Paul Virant's signature flair. Spending time researching in France for inspiration, Virant has crafted every dish with meticulous attention to detail and a reverence for tradition.

Seating 65 guests, Petite Vie’s intimate space exudes the warmth and comfort of a traditional French brasserie, while seamlessly blending modern design elements. A collaboration between Virant, his wife Jennifer and long-time friend and designer Jody Tate, every detail at Petite Vie tells a story of meticulous craftsmanship and thoughtful curation.

Featuring French intricacy and layering, the space is a canvas of artistic expression, with artwork curated from both local talents and treasures acquired during the team's time in Paris. Framed prints, commissioned paintings, and a round antique mirror passed down through generations, adorn the walls, adding layers of intrigue.

Join us for an intimate 8 guest tasting experience! We will be tasting and comparing Gamay from different regions of Beaujolais in Southern Burgundy. Seating and snacks will be family style. Each ticket will include a glass of each of the four wines as well as snacks put together by our culinary team. Enjoy a reception and five seated courses curated to pair with wines from the major regions of France! You will enjoy wines from the Loire Valley, Bordeaux, Burgundy, Alsace, and Langeudoc-Rousillon. We will have sparkling wine and passed appetizers for the seated reception followed by a five course tasting menu. Each dish has been created to pair beautifully with the wine selection. The dishes have taken influence from the different regions of France highlighted by the wines! Must be 21+ to attend, IDs will be checked as needed. Reception will begin at 6 pm and dinner will be served promptly at 6:30 pm.

Excellent food and service. We highly recommend the roast chicken, steak, pomme frites, chocolate soufflé and profiteroles.

Petite Vie does French classics as good as anyone. This small space is a modern bistro serving up delicious French food. While all of their appetizers are excellent, the escargot is a stand out. If you're up for a more American entree, the Petite Vie burger is rich, filling and cooked to perfection. Fantastic cocktails are an added bonus. The one drawback is the quite noisy space which can be difficult for those with hearing issues.

Service was great food amazing bartenders were really nice and helpful. I suggest this place. and seeing Ellie was amazing she’s the best.

Warm setting with French detailing. Beautiful. Food was very good, but the service was the star. The waitstaff and bartender were very attentive. Bartender checked with my guest to be sure the drink was being prepared properly. A great date place. The Trout almondine was excellent.

Wonderful ambiance as you are transported to a French Bistro in Paris. Food was incredible and the service very high-end. Loved that the portions were European sized. It was a Wednesday night and every table was filled. Highly recommend making a reservation.

Marina, Patrick and the entire Kitchen Staff were wonderful. Exceptional dining experience. It was worth the drive from Chicago to Western Springs!!! I will recommend Petite Vie to anyone who loves French food❤️

My husband and I had brunch there on a Saturday morning which was a great time because it wasn’t crowded as is usual in the evenings. Service was great and the food terrific as usual. This is the first time we were there for brunch. My husband enjoyed the crème brûlée French toast and said he needs to go back for that alone. I had the burger and it was delicious.
