Nestled in the heart of downtown Western Springs, Petite Vie offers a menu curated with classic French dishes infused with Chef Paul Virant's signature flair. Spending time researching in France for inspiration, Virant has crafted every dish with meticulous attention to detail and a reverence for tradition.

Seating 65 guests, Petite Vie’s intimate space exudes the warmth and comfort of a traditional French brasserie, while seamlessly blending modern design elements. A collaboration between Virant, his wife Jennifer and long-time friend and designer Jody Tate, every detail at Petite Vie tells a story of meticulous craftsmanship and thoughtful curation.

Featuring French intricacy and layering, the space is a canvas of artistic expression, with artwork curated from both local talents and treasures acquired during the team's time in Paris. Framed prints, commissioned paintings, and a round antique mirror passed down through generations, adorn the walls, adding layers of intrigue.

Enjoy a reception and five seated courses curated to pair with wines from the major regions of France! You will enjoy wines from the Loire Valley, Bordeaux, Burgundy, Alsace, and Langeudoc-Rousillon. We will have sparkling wine and passed appetizers for the seated reception followed by a five course tasting menu. Each dish has been created to pair beautifully with the wine selection. The dishes have taken influence from the different regions of France highlighted by the wines! Must be 21+ to attend, IDs will be checked as needed. Reception will begin at 6 pm and dinner will be served promptly at 6:30 pm.

Join us for an intimate 8 guest tasting experience! We will be tasting and comparing Gamay from different regions of Beaujolais in Southern Burgundy. Seating and snacks will be family style. Each ticket will include a glass of each of the four wines as well as snacks put together by our culinary team. There will be special retail pricing for each wine we taste that will only be available after this tasting. What a fantastic restaurant!! I loved the ambiance, the menu, food, and service. I took one bite of my entree and literally exclaimed out loud about how fantastic it was! We had cocktails, escargot, french onion soup, duck confit, beef bourguignon (on special), and the chocolate souffle and profiteroles. We cannot wait to come back and try more of the menu.

The food was outstanding but service left a lot to be desired. Dinner took nearly two hours from the time we were seated to when we left, and we didn't order dessert (for that reason).

Wonderful and fun dining experience. We sat at the Chef’s bar. Enjoyed watching the cooks in action.
