Seating 65 guests, Petite Vie’s intimate space exudes the warmth and comfort of a traditional French brasserie, while seamlessly blending modern design elements. A collaboration between Virant, his wife Jennifer and long-time friend and designer Jody Tate, every detail at Petite Vie tells a story of meticulous craftsmanship and thoughtful curation.

Featuring French intricacy and layering, the space is a canvas of artistic expression, with artwork curated from both local talents and treasures acquired during the team's time in Paris. Framed prints, commissioned paintings, and a round antique mirror passed down through generations, adorn the walls, adding layers of intrigue.

Excellent bar service! Brilliant "Poulet Roti" dish! Lovely wine selection! We enjoyed our dinner at Petit Vie. It was lively and charming and delicious! 🍾🥂 That said, we felt a bit out of place. We were seated next to two tables that seemed to be hosting VIP guests, who received a lot of attention from both the waitstaff and possibly management and/or owners. While we completely understand the importance of catering to VIPs, our corner spot felt a bit overlooked in comparison. It’s all part of the experience, but it left us feeling a bit less special. C'est le vie? Also, we were surprised not to receive any bread or even a petite pommes de terre, both typically part of a French dining experience. All told, we genuinely enjoyed ourselves and would be happy to return! Truly, we don't need to be fussed over, so we'll make sure to be seated with the fabulous normies! 🪩 🪩 🪩

Excellent preparation of the dishes, tasty and perfectly plated. Its a little tight with the seating howver I believe on a weeknight it's not too bad. Service excellent!

Asked for an inside table at 5:00 and was granted one for 90 minutes…more than enough time to eat. French Onion Soup best I’ve ever tasted. Trout excellent Puff pastry a 4 out of five…not quite puffy enough, but tasty. Split the salad…big enough for two. I will be a regular customer!

This was our first time dining at Petite Vie (had dined Vie in the past). We were celebrating an anniversary and it was a wonderful experience. The service was great, the food was amazing---so much to choose from. The provided us with complimentary drinks for our celebration too. Would definitely return.

Date night #1 option ! ( or any occasion for that matter ) Starting from the arrival it was easy to find and within a nice community. Walking in I loved the decor and the ambiance, open concept between the bar kitchen and dining areas which is why I put moderate for the noise. But you will find it’s pretty quiet and easy to still talk with who ever you bring. My boyfriend and I sat at the bar and there was plenty of room , the bartenders are great ! And the cocktails were perfect ! The bartender even made a special cocktail after asking what my boyfriend liked. He knocked it out the park ! The food was amazing !! We had the oysters , super fresh with a vinaigrette that I need the recipe to! A chefs special tomato dish with blue cheese,chili crisp , and fried onions, delicious! While ingredients last , a melon dish - cantaloupe, onion,cheese, oil , and seasoning. Sounds weird at first, but I’ll never be able to eat melon the same way again it was not only a pallet cleanser but so refreshing. Last we had the halibut entree. The fish was cooked to perfection and had a beautiful sear ! And the side of potatoes were buttery perfection, but not heavy on the pallet or stomach. We left feeling like kings but our stomachs didn’t feel heavy or bloated. The fresh ingredients make a huge difference when eating out. The staff are truly friendly and you can see they like working there. I’ll always support an establishment where the employees are enjoying what they do. Makes a huge difference in the experience, a great experience at that. We officially will become regulars. I can’t wait to go back and already planning our next meal there.

The place is extremely noise. Even though we reserved 6 weeks ago,and asked for a quiet place, we were seated next to the door, across the bar, on an awkward table that was sideways, making it really hard to have a conversation. Deserts are average. Cheese plate is not worth the price.

Wonderful addition to the Western suburbs. Order the gnocchi and the special summer tomatoes and blue cheese salad. You won’t be disappointed!

Phenomenal cuisine and service and a solid value. Scallop starter cooked to perfection, baguette and butter fit for Paris, wonderful halibut and streak frites along with a side of delicious Vichy carrots and closed with a grand marnier ice cream dessert. My favorite new restaurant.

The food was excellent and the service would have been better if our server could actually get to our table. My wife and I have sat at tables that are relatively close to the next table, but our table was so close, the server could not stand between tables to do a complete service. We will try the restaurant again because the food was excellent, but we will make sure not to sit at the table in the back of the restaurant.

The attention by all of the staff from the moment we walked in was superb! The signature cocktails were amazing. The menu is diverse and every dish we chose was delicious.
