Petit Trois Le Valley, the second outpost of Chef Ludo Lefebvre's beloved bistro, opened its doors in 2018 in Sherman Oaks. This larger location channels a lavish French Brasserie, with its marble bar, banquette lined dining room, and a Chef’s counter overlooking the open kitchen. The second dining room can be reserved for larger parties and private events.

Since opening, Petit Trois has garnered praise from casual foodies and revered food critics. In 2015, Petit Trois was nominated for Best New Restaurant by the James Beard Foundation and in 2019 earned the Bib Gourmand designation upon the Michelin Guide’s return to Los Angeles. Additionally, Petit Trois was featured on the late Jonathan Gold’s 101 Best Restaurants in Los Angeles list from 2015-2017 and has remained on the list since 2019 when Bill Addison & Patricia Escárcega took over.

D'après les éditeur·rices d'OpenTable : Alors que le Petit Trois originel est, comme son nom l'indique, de petite taille, la deuxième mouture du restaurant de Ludo Lefebvre, située à Sherman Oaks, est beaucoup plus grande et possède de hauts plafonds, d'un décor aux tons dorés et de confortables banquettes vert menthe. Vous pouvez y commander les plats habituels, comme le steak frites et le célèbre hamburger Le Big Mec, mais voici un petit conseil : réservez une place au comptoir du chef, à l'entrée du restaurant, pour observer tout ce qui se passe en cuisine.

So the rating of 3 is mostly due to the dessert. The restaurant is amazing, great service and the entree and main courses are fabulous. Dessert are lower than expected. We tried the profiteroles and the ice cream are very good but the puff pastries were dried or overcooked. The apple tart was also disappointing as it’s more crust than an apple pie. It use to be fabulous from start to finish but now, i think they need to rethink their desserts recipes.

Escargot was amazing. The burger is one of the top 10 I’ve ever had. Steak frites was delicious, the fries are perfect and meat was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Really wanted to try the desserts but the kitchen closed before we could order any. And nobody told us it was last call. :( Cocktails were very sweet, didn’t taste like much alcohol was used, definitely wouldn’t order again. Would go back, I’d just order a bottle of wine instead of cocktails.

Always delightful. These days, the fries are what we build our meals around. Brunch menu is always on point. Omelet is a must. Steak frites, delish… Onion soup… the most comforting. The offerings of by the glass wine is some of the best in town.

Service was impeccable and the food was delicious. Try the bread pudding for dessert! We will keep coming back.
