Petit Trois Le Valley, the second outpost of Chef Ludo Lefebvre's beloved bistro, opened its doors in 2018 in Sherman Oaks. This larger location channels a lavish French Brasserie, with its marble bar, banquette lined dining room, and a Chef’s counter overlooking the open kitchen. The second dining room can be reserved for larger parties and private events.

Since opening, Petit Trois has garnered praise from casual foodies and revered food critics. In 2015, Petit Trois was nominated for Best New Restaurant by the James Beard Foundation and in 2019 earned the Bib Gourmand designation upon the Michelin Guide’s return to Los Angeles. Additionally, Petit Trois was featured on the late Jonathan Gold’s 101 Best Restaurants in Los Angeles list from 2015-2017 and has remained on the list since 2019 when Bill Addison & Patricia Escárcega took over.

Alors que le Petit Trois originel est, comme son nom l'indique, de petite taille, la deuxième mouture du restaurant de Ludo Lefebvre, située à Sherman Oaks, est beaucoup plus grande et possède de hauts plafonds, d'un décor aux tons dorés et de confortables banquettes vert menthe. Vous pouvez y commander les plats habituels, comme le steak frites et le célèbre hamburger Le Big Mec, mais voici un petit conseil : réservez une place au comptoir du chef, à l'entrée du restaurant, pour observer tout ce qui se passe en cuisine.

Our server was phenomenal!!!! We have - fig salad -warm goat cheese - French onion soup - big mec - trout almondine - mussel - the BEST bread Pudding!!

One of my top 3 fave restaurants in Los Angeles! Just like being in a wonderful bistro in Paris - awesome French food and lovely service, beautiful environs!

It’s one of my favorite restaurants in the valley because it’s open for lunch. Great service and very friendly atmosphere, drinks are amazing!

Last evening was the single worst evening of dining in over 30 years of dining out almost every night. We have been to Petit many times but they dropped the ball in so many ways , it will be difficult to handle in 2000 characters. First the service was very slow; we had to ask for bread three times from two different people. Then the food came for 3 of us but there were 4 of us. A few minutes later the 4th dish was delivered by a person, not a waiter, unfamiliar with the table. The waiter was MIA. One of us received "branzino" at a cost of slightly less than 50 bucks, which, and please take my word for this, was the size of a half dollar. She had two bites, and it was gone. We asked the waiter if there was a mistake in the kitchen and he said he would check. He returned about 10 minutes later, with a water pitcher, poured water, and never mentioned the branzino. So, we passed on dessert, asked for the check, and on the way out mentioned the problem to the hostess. A "manager " appeared; we told him of the Branzino, and although 4 of us told him it was the size of a half dollar and was 2 bites worth of fish, he adamantly contented the kitchen was portion controlled and she got 8 ounces of fish--essentially calling all four guests, liars. Petit, for the most part, serves very good food. It does seem to have a way above average turnover of employees, and maybe that is the problem. Whatever the problem, our three out of town guests were more than dismayed. An evening not to soon be forgotten.

Food was delicious as always. Service was excellent (thank you Marie!). Portions are larger than you expect but welcome for sharing!

We had brunch Sunday afternoon at 1 pm and it was great. Our first time and the food was wonderful. Escargot was the best I ever had. French onion soup and one of their sandwiches. We plan on going back for dinner very soon.

The menu was very limited for a Saturday afternoon lunch. Too many breakfast items and not enough for lunch. Service was terrific and space is inviting.

Very cute French interior. Went here for lunch on a Saturday. The entrées seemed expensive for what you received. For example, I ordered a simple omelette with cheese inside that included a side salad. It was $25; my friend ordered the Chinese chicken salad, which was $24. If you need to avoid valet parking($15), you have to park on the busy streets surrounding.

Petit Trois has proven to a be a consistent deliverer of quality and taste. The menu had new items. We tried the potato beignets and they were delicious. Light and crispy with a flavorful sauce. This was not my first trip and will not be my last. They just get French food right!!
