Petit Trois Le Valley, the second outpost of Chef Ludo Lefebvre's beloved bistro, opened its doors in 2018 in Sherman Oaks. This larger location channels a lavish French Brasserie, with its marble bar, banquette lined dining room, and a Chef’s counter overlooking the open kitchen. The second dining room can be reserved for larger parties and private events.

Since opening, Petit Trois has garnered praise from casual foodies and revered food critics. In 2015, Petit Trois was nominated for Best New Restaurant by the James Beard Foundation and in 2019 earned the Bib Gourmand designation upon the Michelin Guide’s return to Los Angeles. Additionally, Petit Trois was featured on the late Jonathan Gold’s 101 Best Restaurants in Los Angeles list from 2015-2017 and has remained on the list since 2019 when Bill Addison & Patricia Escárcega took over.

Alors que le Petit Trois originel est, comme son nom l'indique, de petite taille, la deuxième mouture du restaurant de Ludo Lefebvre, située à Sherman Oaks, est beaucoup plus grande et possède de hauts plafonds, d'un décor aux tons dorés et de confortables banquettes vert menthe. Vous pouvez y commander les plats habituels, comme le steak frites et le célèbre hamburger Le Big Mec, mais voici un petit conseil : réservez une place au comptoir du chef, à l'entrée du restaurant, pour observer tout ce qui se passe en cuisine.

Petit Trois has proven to a be a consistent deliverer of quality and taste. The menu had new items. We tried the potato beignets and they were delicious. Light and crispy with a flavorful sauce. This was not my first trip and will not be my last. They just get French food right!!

They hire the BEST staff: Our server (Shoshona?)was a rockstar; kind, attentive, and witty as a whip, ready to put up with a pair of joyous, older quipsters with jollity of her own, but when we asked if she could bring a specialty dessert, she not only complied, but followed it with an anniversary bread pudding/candle ice cream thing that seriously put us in a coma. This is my favorite pace in the Valley, if not in LA, as it reminds me of the best of times in Paris and as Squidward says Toulouse-Lautrec. Oh and the food. One more wafer-thin mint? DAMN. EAT EVERYTHING.

Male server at the bar was not on his A game last night 8/31. Forgot to make one of the drinks for my guest. Forgot to put in part of the order so it came after we got our bill. Booked a table and got seated at the bar because that was all that was available unless we wanted to wait.

We had reservations, they seated us at a dirty table on a bed of breadcrumbs… We asked to switch tables and sit in the corner – keep in mind. There were only two other tables in the entire restaurant occupied. It was completely empty… We were told that someone else has a reservation in the corner, however, if we ate really fast “45 minutes“ then we were allowed to sit there… At which point we got up and left the restaurant. Then, being clever, they marked us as a “no-show“ on the reservation, as if we had skipped out, probably so they wouldn’t have to explain to Management why we left… That’s the first time in my life I’ve ever walked out of a restaurant before I even got a glass of water… So I guess maybe that’s some kind of special prize we should give them… Bravo Zulu on a job well done. However… the silver lining is we went right down Ventura to another French restaurant “Mistral“ which is absolutely amazing and we probably got the best service I’ve ever had at a restaurant… So if this restaurant hadn’t been such a big fail I wouldn’t have learned about the other restaurant, Mistral. Thanks again.

What a great experience! Haven’t been for a few months. Potato beignets were ridiculously good, followed by a delicious beet salad with both almonds & pistachios. The pistou pasta was amazing. Our server rocked and can’t wait to return…

Everything was exceptional and the service was perfection. We felt very pampered and taken care of. The food was great, as usual.

We love Petite Trois. It reminds us of Galatoires’ or Clancey’s in New Orleans. It was fun to share it with our son’s girlfriend. I do wish the dinner menu was available for the 2:00 pm seating but understand.

We enjoyed my birthday dinner. I loved the service and vibe. The portion of dishes was generous—we ate the leftovers for lunch the next day, which was also yummy.
