Petite Left Bank is a traditional French café and bistro set in the heart of Marin County, in the charming downtown area of the coastal Tiburon peninsula. Like its sister restaurant Left Bank, Petite Left Bank is named in homage to and inspired by the iconic brasseries of La Rive Gauche, the southern or “left bank” of the River Seine which winds its way through the center of Paris. Petite Left Bank is a modern and approachable setting, and at the heart of all the space has to offer Tiburon is a French café, an all-day affair where guests can enjoy delicious French pastries, croissants, espresso, coffee, and tea. During the day, handcrafted dishes feature modern flavors and techniques that embrace its French European heritage and elevate the café experience. As the day turns to night, Petite Left Bank transforms into an alluring, lively, and exciting space with bistro highlights that showcase French recipes and classics.

We enjoyed lunch at this darling cafe in Tiburon. I felt like I was back in Paris! The cafe seating inside and out, the bistro tables and decorations and the French flags flying. The menu is varied and our food was delicious. Our server, Pedro, was great! We were happy to see it full on a Tuesday. We will definitely return.

Since it’s opening the quality of the food has been really declining. It is too bad as I really liked the place at its beginning but last 2 experiences were very disappointing with respect to the food. Staff is still very nice.

I normally love Petite Left Bank, however I will never dine there on a Saturday night again. It was too busy and our server allowed our entrées to come out before we were done with our appetizers. I'll stick to middle of the day, only half full restaurant hours from now on.

Lovely extension of the Left Bank restaurant group in Tiburon. Great location, nice staff, and an excellent - if somewhat smaller - menu make this place well worth the visit!

After several wonderful meals, our last one was very disappointing. Spouse ordered boeuf bourguignon and selected a wine to accompany it. Server returns to tell us the kitchen is out of boeuf bourguignon. Time to be flexible. Spouse ordered cassoulet and I switched to the lamb on the menu. Without asking whether spouse wants the same wine with a completely different dish, server brings her original wine order. We explains she will have a different wine. Server then returns to say the lamb dish is no longer being made with lamb, but with beef, and the menu has not been updated. He then says the kitchen is out of this dish as well. At this point, we gave up, finished our salads and drinks and left. The manager comped our partial meal. The whole fiasco could have been avoided if the manager had instructed servers to explain what was actually available and better trained them.
