Part neighborhood café, part energetic bistro, Petite Cerise is located in a bright and lively historic corner space in Shaw/Mount Vernon Triangle. Petite Cerise features separate à la carte menus for brunch, lunch, and dinner. In addition, Petite Cerise has a Coffee Counter open Tuesday - Friday opening at 8am serving classic coffee and espresso preparations, housemade pastries, and other breakfast items to go or sit down.

Dinner offers both an à la carte menu along with a Prix Fixe option. The focus in the evening is to craft unique and innovative dishes utilizing the very best ingredients within the Mid-Atlantic region and beyond skillfully prepared through a French lens.

We had brunch at Petite Cerise and were as pleased with the excellence of the food and service as we have been on prior visits. The Grilled Baguette with raspberry preserves and butter was a great start. The other items we ordered including eggs and bacon were perfectly prepared. We dined at the bar and were served by Daniel who made sure everything was to our liking. We enjoyed talking with him about the seasonal cocktails and food. We know when we dine at Petite Cerise that the overall experience will be wonderful. If only we could eat more of the pastries!

Was recommended by a friend and did NOT disappoint! As described - a casual bistro vibe with excellent food & service. Was dinner for two & an overdue catch-up - our server hit all the right notes on guiding us through selections of wine and courses, present but leaving us to our evening. We enjoyed the prix fixe meal and loved it - the wine selections allowed the perfect mix/match to complement. Standout favorite: foie gras tartine!

The prix fixe menu had plenty of options and was very reasonably priced. The snacks were excellent (especially the crispy fried panisse), the fireside farm potato pave was the best of the shareables, all of which were delicious, and we had the Long Island duck for the entree which was superbly prepared, tender, and flavorful. Perhaps the best duck I’ve had. And the service was attentive without ever being intrusive. Our server was very knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. It was giving Michelin star without the Michelin star price. (I’ve paid far more for far less flavor, inferior presentation, and much worse service.). Highly recommended.

We don't order chicken when we go out, except at French restaurants- Petite Cerise's is perfection. Great service and drinks along with great change in menu for the season.

Second time dining here - the food was all very good, but the service was super slow and non-existent at times. Not sure if they were short-staffed that day or if the service is usually this inattentive.
