Part neighborhood café, part energetic bistro, Petite Cerise is located in a bright and lively historic corner space in Shaw/Mount Vernon Triangle. Petite Cerise features separate à la carte menus for brunch, lunch, and dinner. In addition, Petite Cerise has a Coffee Counter open Tuesday - Friday opening at 8am serving classic coffee and espresso preparations, housemade pastries, and other breakfast items to go or sit down.

Dinner offers both an à la carte menu along with a Prix Fixe option. The focus in the evening is to craft unique and innovative dishes utilizing the very best ingredients within the Mid-Atlantic region and beyond skillfully prepared through a French lens.

If you decide to join us for a morning coffee, quick mid-day bite, stretch out your lunch over a glass of wine, or gather with friends for an indulgent and creative dinner, we invite you here to celebrate and enjoy.

Food is delicious and well presented. Service is impeccable. The vibe is very “French”. But it’s sooooooo loud! Conversation is virtually impossible.

Absolutely delicious collection of options on mercifully small menu with great advice from our server. Go with the four course prix fixe and you’ll get three delicious amuse bouches followed by two amazingly diverse appetisers to share then a main to share and dessert. Or go tapas style and just pick what you want to share from the appetizers. We had potato and lamb pave, gnocchi in a lemony sauce that was the best gnocchi I’ve ever had, and a lovely and simple beet salad that kept the beets front and centre and felt like a drink of pure health. The amuse bouches are worth the visit alone, so imaginative and varied but not inaccessible if you’re not too much of a foodie. With two glasses of wine each, the trio of amuse bouches, three sizeable Appetisers to share and one dessert the bill was 75 apiece without the tip. A leisurely meal over 2-1/2 hours with tables spaced enough apart that we ate in peace and enjoyed a long conversation. Highly recommend.

From the food to the wine, service, ambiance, and decor, everything here is exceptional. It's easily one of my top favorite spots in the D.C. area, offering a charming slice of Paris right in the heart of the city.

Excellent prix fixe sharing menu. The choices within the menu are good, but the sharing concept can be a problem if you cannot agree what you fancy!

We've eaten through most of their menu and at all of their services and we love this place. Service is excellent. The vibe is fire. And the food is, well, amazing. You can't go wrong whether you are going for coffee and a croissant or for brunch, lunch, or for their fixed price dinner. If you can, go for dinner. The food is fresh, innovative, flavorful, beautiful, and, once again, the service is amazing. Michelin star quality at a very reasonable price. We wish we lived in DC to have this become our go-to, local favorite because it's definitely our DC favorite.
