In 2024, the original location of Petit Trois, on Highland Ave in Hollywood, celebrates 10 years as a beloved, can't miss part of LA's dining scene. Chef/Owner Ludo Lefebvre puts his spin on classic French flavors including the cult-favorite Big Mec burger, swimming in rich Bordelaise sauce, perfectly roasted Heritage chicken with compressed potatoes fried in clarified butter, a French Dip sandwich served with a version of the restaurant's onion soup for dipping, and lots more. Start with the restaurant's housemade baguette served with the creamiest French butter and pair it all with wine from the restaurant's thoughtfully curated list, which includes 16 by the glass options. With a design inspired by classic Parisian bistros, Petit Trois transports guests in its 2 dining areas as well as an outdoor patio. The dining room is also available for private events.

I've been three times and every time I get the feeling that they don't really care if I'm there or not. I'm not picky, demanding, rude or obnoxious, but I expect better service. For example, today I ordered a cocktail and didn't receive it until after my salad was served and after I had to ask. I got it probably 15-20 minutes after ordering and there were only two other parties dining at the time. Not cool. Our waiter never checked in on us and wasn't even visible most of the time. Our food didn't look anything like what they had posted on Instagram. Food was good, but overall it was a disappointing experience and I won't go back. So many other restaurants in LA to choose from.

Our server Arthur H. was very engaging and helpful on our maiden voyage to L’Original Petit Trois. His “Thank you!” note in impeccable penmanship on our receipt was a welcome touch and indicative of the excellent service and food we sampled. Chef Ludo Lefebvre prepared and presented his exquisite food with characteristic French aplomb and it arrived quickly. Good French cuisine is difficult to find in LA. L’Original Petit Trois is an exception and we’ll be back.

Pésimo servicio mas de una hora y Y media y no nos trajeron los platillos que pedimos. Servicio fatal y los que si consumimos muy caro!

A bucket list dining option in LA was fulfilled tonight and did not disappoint. The service was terrific, the recommendations were spot on and the food was delicious. Who knew omelets could be elevated to dinner entree status - not only but one of the best omelets for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner? The Onion Soup is a special treat too. I cannot wait to return for another delicious dining experience. The only question is how do you score an inside table? The few times i looked on OpenTable inside was not an option. It's not an issue because it's cozy on the nation with heat lamps but I'm always curious why I cannot sit inside. Certainly not a reason to skip because the food, service, and drink are delicious inside and outside!

Finally made it here. Overall Food experience was great! Everything we ordered and shared was delicious and well prepared. Service level was excellent!! Expensive, but the quality was excellent. Our party of four was impressed.

Nice spot with considerable history and excellent service (Dylan) but the food wasn’t quite up to par with the prices. Sauces were just average and McDonald’s has better frites - not double dipped like traditional French style. Meat was average- could not finish my filet - which is a rare event!
