A culinary celebration of California's coastal offerings, and a heartfelt tribute to the late Peter Orr. Founded by Sarah Orr and her mother Mary Ann Orr of Sunset Hospitality Group, Pete's Fish House embodies a deep-rooted passion for community and culinary excellence.

Named in honor of Sarah's father and mentor, this restaurant is more than just a dining experience—it's a reflection of cherished memories and Peter’s larger than life legacy. Sarah explains, "I have been looking for a way to honor him, and this feels like the right way to do that."

At Pete's Fish House, expect a menu that is inspired by the coastal waters and the bountiful local agriculture that Peter was deeply committed to, ensuring a true representation of our region's culinary heritage.

                                              They know what they're doing here! Fresh seafood, good salads, and a classy atmosphere. A bit pricey, but worth it. I just hope they (re) open the bar area and expand the menu a bit. That would bolt them into five star rating in my book.

                                              Our meal was absolutely excellent although some portions were smaller than expected for the price of the item. Service was very friendly and good for the most part. Timing was a bit rushed. This is definitely a destination for a special occasion based on pricing. Will certainly return.

                                              We took my daughter and her new boyfriend, & my mom to Pete’s and had such a lovely time. First of all, they were so sweet and accommodating about my table change request. Secondly the food was fresh & delicious. Hog oysters are a must & loved the crudo. Lastly the service was perfect. Our server Paris was very attentive & sweet. Great ending to a couple of days of moving our daughter into her dorm. We will be back.

                                              Pere’s was fabulous! The food was exceptional. Its was fresh, delicious and beautifully prepared. it’s been a long time since I had pasta and clams so perfectly prepared. The pasta was perfectly cooked. The oysters were briny and fresh, the cesar salad crisp and flavorful. Every aspect of the meal was outstanding. The server, Riley, was attentive and pleasant throughout the meal. He went out of his way to make the meal enjoyable. Pets’s Fish House has a small outdoor patio over looking the river and Capitola beach. There are nice views from the restaurant adding to the ambience. mThe decor is simple and tasteful. Pete’s Fish House is worth going to enjoy really delicious food and really pleasant dining experience.

                                              The food was mediocre (my steak was to have pepper sauce and had ? Worcestershire sauce?) the menu was way too small and the prices not only didn’t fit the food or ambiance but (being a Capitola resident) was way too high for Capitola village. Shadowbrook can get away with those prices but they have way more to offer in all the above categories- and I don’t think they are that expensive

                                              Pete's Fish House was a lovely place to go to enjoy a birthday dinner. Every dish we ordered was prepared perfectly. It's a beautiful restaurant with breathtaking views of Capitola beach. We felt very well taken care of. The dessert menu is a little sparse, but the main course menu was fantastic. We highly recommend it!

                                              This was my second visit. This time with an out of town guest, and Pete’s did not disappoint. Interesting preparation of scallops, perfect oysters, rich broth on the mussels! Such a welcome high end (but not fussy) dining experience on the esplanade.
