Opened in 1887, Peter Luger Steak House has become a culinary, historical and cultural landmark in the heart of Williamsburg. Serving only the finest USDA Prime Beef, Peter Luger has been honored with numerous awards for over 30 years including America’s Best Steak. The restaurant is family owned and operated, and all beef is hand-selected by a member of the family before being dry-aged on site.

Steak was perfect. We had a party of four but ordered steak for 3 and finished everything. They need a better potato option with garlic mashed or redskin. Spinach and mushroom sides were fantastic. For starter appetizers the oysters , bacon, and Caesar salad were fantastic as well.

The steak was very good, the servers were good, but it wasn't spectacular. Our strak came out at least 15 min before any of the sides. The sides were fine, but not great. Its a typical in casino giant restaurant, so it what it lacks in ambiance it makes up for in crowd noise and seating capacity.

Food was very good. Service failed. Sat down and it took 40 minutes for our drinks to arrive and our orders taken. They were very apologetic and said for some reason our drink order was never entered, but even so, once we finished eating it took over 30 minutes for someone to come clean the table and bring us a check. Really need to do some training with your wait staff.

The best steakhouse hands down. All of their steaks are Prime and come with sizzling butter. The steak sauce is also excellent and very unique. The whipped cream, which they call schlog is freshly made from real cream. We are very impressed with the customer service. We had a server that was excellent and he had a team that was very attentive. They all checked on us to see if we were happy with our meal.

Very nice setting for a wonderful meal. Our waiter Obi was an amazing gentleman. Explained the menu and even made great suggestions. The Cesar salad was wonderful and I LOVE the croutons. So buttery, airy and crispy. We shared the 2 person Porterhouse and the Single Ribeye both MR and absolutely wonderful. Tender, Juicy and great flavor. I used the Luger sauce about every other bite. The beef flavor was so good, but the bite of horseradish in the sauce was so good too. We shared the Loaded bake potato and mushrooms, both took the meal into the “a little too much food” level, but everything was good.

This food experience was fabulous! The service was top notch. We had the tomato/onion with bacon to start—sounds odd but it was absolutely delicious!! The sauce is also a must. We got the steak for 2 and French potatoes and it was more than enough—make sure to soak up the juices. Finished it off with delicious espresso martinis!We gave it all a 10/10–can’t wait to go back!

Loud, exciting big city steakhouse experience. Professional expert servers and some of the best steaks on the planet. Peter’s steak (all purpose ) sauce is amazing on everything. Order the sliced tomato salad, German potatoes and don’t forget the Holy Cow Sunday and apple strudel for dessert. It’s an adventure in food at Peter Lugers that you won’t forget.
