    We were seated promptly but then our server walked away without asking anyone if they wanted something to drink. After about 15 minutes we finally snagged him and told him we wanted some cocktails. First they brought out one drink. Then about 5-10 minutes later they delivered two more drinks. We asked where our fourth drink was and the answer was it’s on the way. We then had to snagged our waiter down again to tell him we wanted to order our meals. Seemed like a lot of confusion going on. Our Caesar salad had a good taste but was very peppery. Last time we were here there was pumpkin seeds on our salad but not this time. They didn’t remove our salad plates before the meal came and expected us to pick them up. Three out of the four meals were barely warm. The cast iron plate was cool enough to put your hand on it without having to remove it. I mentioned it to our waiter and he offered to warm our steaks up. That would have cooked them more which we did not want I explained and he walked away. Not as impressed as I was the first time we went. A lot of money for an average meal and poor service. Don’t know that we’ll return anytime soon.

    I’ve been doing Pork Chop Fridays at Perry’s (Dallas) for ten years now. This was my first time at this location and it did not disappoint.

    We’ve dined the other Perry’s locations and had good experiences.  so we decided to try the Vernon Hills location, which is their newest location. Our waitress was outstanding. The food was good as usual. The pork chop special is outstanding. My wife had the surf and turf. She commented that the steak was not as flavorful as usual Caesar salad very good the beet salad Was ok it was loaded with cabbage leaves which gave it a little bit of a bitter taste seemed it was used as a filler. We usually go to the schaumburg location. Comparing the two restaurants I would say Schaumburg is better as far as the things that we ordered.

    Overall an excellent experience. Service was outstanding and ambience very nice. While the food quality was fine we had two concerns: the seasoning on our steaks was a bit too salty and the steaks were plated on very hot cast iron skillets and caused the steaks to continue cooking bringing the temperature beyond that which was ordered.
