Perilla is a restaurant based in Newington Green. Using humble ingredients of the highest quality, the food focuses on a modern interpretation of classical European flavours, in an informal and relaxed dining room.

Perilla used to be my favorite restaurant in London for many years but this time both the food and the service was just really poor. The food is incredibly expensive for what it is (portions are 1/4 of what it should be), our waitress kept telling us to order two of each item that we asked for despite the average price of a dish being around 22-36 pounds. The final straw was that we paid 120 pounds for a bottle of Assyrtiko that we always drink for around 70 euros and the next day we had exactly the same bottle for 67 pounds in another East London restaurant! I won't be coming back unfortunately after such an upsetting overall experience.

i have been to perilla before and it had been one of my favorite restaurants of all london. this time the food was not good at all, we ordered the whole menu and we didnt like a single one. The place is beautiful as always and the service was very very good.

An amazing restaurant. Everything was outstanding! Service was brilliant - food was excellent. We went for the tasting menu which is excellent value - all of it was fantastic, but the lamb particularly stood out. Beautiful ambience and atmosphere too. Would 100% recommend and will be back to check out the next seasonal menu!

It was a good experience. This is fine dining style. Big prices, small portions. I had the lamb which cost 30 quid and it was superbly tasty. It had about 5 small slices of lamb. My friend had the fish and she had to take the bones out herself. We shared the starters and the peach was OK. The courgette starter is a must. The aubergine was tiny and was alright. Go if you have money to blow and wanna have a good time. I'll come another time when the seasons are different. I know I'll have a good time anyway. It's a lovely experience.

Fantastic food. Every plate of food was delicious and memorable. Depth and intensity of flavours was impressive. Service was charming and excellent Can't wait to come back
