Located in the West Loop of Downtown Chicago, PERILLA fare offers Korean American cuisine centered around a communal dining experience inspired by classic Korean flavors and traditional ingredients. With an emphasis and focus on quality and premium selection of meats for Korean BBQ, Chef Andrew Lim and the team proudly works with local farms and quality importers to provide our guests with an adventurous culinary experience. We offer an expansive beverage list which includes handcrafted cocktails, craft beers, a curated wine list, and hand selected imported sojus and makgeolli. Our menu accommodates all dietary restrictions with a focus on vegetarian options including locally sourced mushrooms. Amazing. From the service to the food. We got the tasting platter and the amount is more than enough to keep you full. The shishito peppers were phenomenal. The broth they give was delightful and wish I had that recipe. Definitely worth the amount you spend here. The music is slightly on the loud side but other than that, everything was great.

Food and service are excellent. It is however extremely loud especially for anyone who wants to have a conversation without screaming . They did turn it down but I’d recommend requesting a table in the back if you are bothered by very loud music

Perilla offers a very high level of service and delicious meats too. The A5 wagyu was the definition of melt in your mouth. It’s certainly pricy but made for a very memorable anniversary dinner. We’ll certainly be coming back.

Two conference attendees from NW Ohio...one of whom had a dream to try Korean BBQ. The entire experience surpassed all expectations..we as newbies were led through the evenings experience with care, kindness and humor. Every bite was superb. So happy we found PERILLA fare.

Food was amazing but the service was not. Our waiter barely came to check on us. We were a party of six that had someone end up being sick and instead of seating us comfortably at a six person table we had to cram into a four person booth. It was cramped. The person crammed in the corner had to straddle the wall a lot and couldn’t reach most of the food. Our waiter forgot to bring us items we asked for and never asked us if we wanted a second round of drinks. It felt also like they were trying to rush us in and out of the place to get another group at the table while there were empty tables open. We might return for the food but the service frankly sucked.
