We had the shawarma menu, one order was plenty for 2 of us, so this was great value. The food was presented well and was very tasty. We had the baklava cheesecake for dessert - also very good. Cocktail was excellent .

Went to Penelope’s for a friends birthday dinner. We went to the rooftop bar for drinks first. Food, atmosphere and staff were all great! Would 100% recommend!

Really fun venue - live music, sparklers and dancing between courses. Food was tasty, service was a little slow. But overall good night!

Delicious food, amazing atmosphere and great service. Very happy that I uncovered this restaurant and it is my favourite in London now. Paolo the the host made the visit special. Will be back soon

The website paints a completely different picture to what you actually experience at Penelope's. Whilst the service was good, the food was average and overpriced and the ambience was next to none. We thought there was going to be a live DJ, or at least good music playing. Instead, the music selection was really poor and included songs like Las Ketchup and Macarena. Overall, a disappointing experience.

Regarding entertainment, we do host DJs on Thursday-Saturday evenings from 8-8:30 pm, followed by live entertainment. During earlier reservation times like yours, we have a background music playlist to maintain a pleasant atmosphere. We're disappointed to hear that the food didn't meet your expectations. Quality is of utmost importance to us, and we continuously strive to deliver excellence in every dish. We regularly review our prices to ensure they remain in line with other establishments in the Covent Garden area. Just awful would not recommend the restaurant Specials in the menu were not available. Food served at different times to our table.
