We are not a ‘fancy pants’ establishment. Not in the least. We offer good quality, home-cooked, locally sourced (where possible) food. 90% of our menu is made on the premises. Certainly not ‘Pub Grub’ but not ‘Gastro Pub’ either. It’s good value for money. However, our standards are high, very high. Not only in the quality of the food that comes into and leaves the kitchen but also in the presentation, the delivery to the table and overall customer service. We’re definitely not ‘Silver Service’ either but all of our staff are attentive, smartly dressed and will always go that extra mile wherever they can. These are just some of the reasons we were awarded the Taste of the West GOLD award in 2019.
We are a dog friendly establishment, very dog friendly. However, please tell us at the time of booking so that we can place you in our Bar area , as opposed to our Restaurant.

                                                                                              Delicious carvery for 2 vegetarians, 2 meat eaters and our dog (we all gave him a bit of everything). Lovely friendly staff, delicious hot food and just couldn’t resist the puddings.

                                                                                              As always we had a lovely time at the Penmill. The staff are friendly, helpful and attentive. The food is excellent, the menu is extensive and there are some lovely specials.

                                                                                              Only issue was we was sat in the corner with wall so couldn’t look around. Felt closed in. Right next to open window with smokers outside , so as non smokers wasn’t very nice. And found table over from us was too close , we felt like we was sat with another pair sat at table.

                                                                                              All three of us had Strawberry cheese cake it was delicious Two of us chose to have our meals off the lunchtime deal menu . Smaller meal,regular dessert and a hot drink, Really good value . Staff pleasant and helpful Good ambiance.

                                                                                              Pen Mill is our go to place to eat out. Food from the carvery was delicious, service was excellent. Cannot recommend them highly enough.
