Our warm and welcoming spot is located in the gracious, historically significant Kendall Inn, a 19th century stagecoach stop that’s offered Texas hospitality since 1859. I have eaten here a few times . Good chef that night gets 4 star bad chef gets 2 star . Bar is really nice . Service great . Hard to get table short staffed 1/2 tables empty . Biggest complaint is raw salmon. People next to us sent back tomahawk steak 2 times . If chef is on point food is outstanding.

We had a wonderful meal with friends. The food was excellent! Crab cakes melt in your mouth, and the mustard remoulade sauce was so delicious. Service was great! I definitely recommend this restaurant!

We’ve celebrated many special occasions at Peggy’s through the years, unfortunately our most recent visit will most likely be our last. We were sat with the cocktail and wine menu and told that our server would bring the dinner menu, not a problem. We were given water and bread and asked if we wanted to place an order for any non alcoholic drinks which we did not. 15 minutes later we finally asked who our server was and she came around shortly after and immediately wanted to take our dinner order although we still had not seen a menu. As the night went on it seemed that every table that came in after us had the same experience- they were seated and sat idly for 20 minutes, regardless of the server. I could understand if the wait staff were busy but more than half of the tables in the dining room were open and our server may have had 3 tables with a total of 12 guests. We were in no rush but 20 minutes of water and bread with no introduction or even a drink order was not time well spent. The steaks were mediocre and the portion sizes of the sides are much smaller now as well.

As always, Peggy’s On the Green is a lunch delight. Their Chicken Fried Steak with Mashed Potatoes & Cream Gravy satisfies the “Comfort Food” Category, & the fresh Crab Cake is a delight! Laura, always our request for a server, has an amazing customer memory & attends to our every need! The atmosphere is a honey blend of decor & ambiance. Highly recommended!

More description on items offered. I am gluten free and had to send oysters back because the appetizer said grilled oysters not more than that. When made a gluten free option, which I am grateful, it wasnt very good taste wise, lacked flavor. More smiles from waiters. It was hard to hear waiter until more people left.

As a local I’ve never tried Peggy’s for brunch and had heard great things about it. Finally had an opportunity to have brunch here and it will be my last. The Ham Benedict with breakfast potatoes consisted of two tiny poached eggs and two small pieces of ham on an English muffin with an odd, spongy texture. There was an equally tiny splash of hollandaise without much flavor and maybe 1/2 cup of baby potatoes that were quite undercooked. My fellow diner had a vegetable omelet which was also bland and unimpressive. Service was there, but as typical for Peggy’s, nothing to write home about. For the same money we could have had a much better brunch a couple of doors down at The Dienger, or better yet, at Brantley’s 259 Bistro. I don’t get the local hype and recommend other options in Boerne. Even The Bevy Hotel has a better brunch.
