Benvenuto and welcome to Pazzo, a new Italian restaurant in the heart of downtown Halifax. Inspired by our love affair with Italian cuisine, we’ve beautifully transformed two floors of a Barrington Street heritage building into a cozy bar on the lower level and a gorgeous dining area upstairs. With a focus on fresh handmade pasta, meats and cheeses cured in-house, and wines that flow as freely as laughter around a family dinner table, we invite you to join us on a journey of Italy’s rich food culture and la dolce vita!

Stellar New Year's Dining Experience @Pazzo for our party of 9. All opted for the set menu that evening which did not disappoint! Food was fresh, varied yet balanced. It's a larger group to please and everyone raved about each and every course. Literally not a single complaint. Our waiter was knowledgeable, friendly and engaged throughout the meal. Can't wait to return.

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was cozy. It was New Year's Eve so the server was very busy. I was nice to have the manager visit our table to check in on our meal.

Loved the ambience, food and staff. Everything was perfect and was a lovely New Year’s Eve dinner. Manager was a pleasure to meet and our waiter was bar none. Super friendly and great with his recommendations. Will definitely go back.

It was our first visit at Pazzo and we were completely impressed in every way. The food was delicious, service superb and ambiance lovely. Couldn’t have asked for better.

This was our 4-5th time and we were very disappointed this time sadly. We brought friends and it was their first time. Sad experience….we were downstairs, good seat. Waitress B was nice but was completely uniformed about the menu. She didn’t present any options or suggestions, didn’t have clue what fish special was, well she didn’t mention it at all until I asked twice, came back with what type of fish it was but didn’t know how it was cooked when we asked, couldn’t answer one question and maybe she was new, I get it but she needs trained or with someone to accompany her with service. Came back for drink orders but didn’t ask 2 of 4 people…as I said nice but extremely uninformed and not trained. In terms of food the Bolognese was NOT good and cold. I was so disappointed. The tuna tartar was ok, good, but way way too much sauce, good sauce but probably 1/4 cup min spread on top. Chicken parm was huge and good. Meatball was good but not hot at all. I was sad…we enjoyed last few time there, in past service good and on the ball, and food very good.

I love this restaurant. One of the best in halifax. Service and food is always outstanding. Staff are always very professional and approachable and always willing to go the extra step for you as a customer! The location itself is beautiful with a very warm charm to it. If you haven't been you need to try it. Highly recommend.
