Benvenuto and welcome to Pazzo, a new Italian restaurant in the heart of downtown Halifax. Inspired by our love affair with Italian cuisine, we’ve beautifully transformed two floors of a Barrington Street heritage building into a cozy bar on the lower level and a gorgeous dining area upstairs. With a focus on fresh handmade pasta, meats and cheeses cured in-house, and wines that flow as freely as laughter around a family dinner table, we invite you to join us on a journey of Italy’s rich food culture and la dolce vita!

Our upper level dining room is available for exclusive large group bookings ranging from 40 - 110 people. It is equipped with it's own bar and bathrooms are located on this level. The Valentine’s Day menu was not a hit, we would come back again for the standard menu.

We sat down at 8:20, ate our appetizer at about 9:30 and did not get our mains until 10:40. Extremely long wait times and very poor service. Our server never checked on us the entire time we were waiting and never checked on us to see how our food was.

From welcome at front entrance to goodnight and have a wonderful weekend, service was exceptional. Andrew’s food and wine menu knowledge, table presence and personality, exceptional. As a F&B General Manager my entire career, the entire experience was on point. Will be returning. Michael and Penny.

Excellent food and atmosphere. Upstairs is spacious. Chairs were very comfortable. Our server was superb! His knowledge in wine pairing was increditable. Very pleasant personality too.

Philippee, bartender took great care in providing wine & N/A suggestions. Maria, the server provided great information on the Dine Around Menu as well as great information about Pazzo....Great Meal. Thank you to both.

Our experience was incredible. Food was 10/10, but so was the overall vibe and our server Jonathan was outstanding!!! He made the evening so much fun and we never wanted to leave. They are lucky to have him.

We had a wonderful time at Pazzo last night! It was our second time dining there and we decided to take my sister out for her birthday. Prices are very reasonable, ambiance is perfect, service is very attentive. They also gave my sister a signed birthday card. 10/10!

This was our first time visiting Pazzo, but it most certainly will not be our last. We ordered the January Italian Table menu, which was a 5 course dinner for two and it did not disappoint. The service was fantastic. The best dining experience we have had in Halifax! This restaurant is a must try!

This was our second time at Pazzo in the Bar downstairs during Happy Hour. We love the atmosphere and the service and the food. We also love the 25% off on the entire Bar Menu. It allows us to have a special time out without breaking the bank. Thank you

This was our first visit to Pazzo and we sat downstairs while there was a DJ playing music. It was a wonderful vibe, the food was fantastic and our service was amazing. Mary was so kind and good at her job. She was knowledgeable about the food and wine list and also took time to engage with us which we truly appreciated. Pazzo is lucky to have such wonderful people working with them.
