Benvenuto and welcome to Pazzo, a new Italian restaurant in the heart of downtown Halifax. Inspired by our love affair with Italian cuisine, we’ve beautifully transformed two floors of a Barrington Street heritage building into a cozy bar on the lower level and a gorgeous dining area upstairs. With a focus on fresh handmade pasta, meats and cheeses cured in-house, and wines that flow as freely as laughter around a family dinner table, we invite you to join us on a journey of Italy’s rich food culture and la dolce vita!

The service was great, but we were disappointed in the quality of the food considering the high prices. There are other Italian restaurants we would go to over this. I wanted to like it really bad because the restaurant is beautiful, so it’s too bad that the food didn’t meet our expectations. We did have very good wine, so could be a good spot for drinks but I don’t think I would go back for a meal.

From start to finish the service and expirience was excellent. Our waiter was very personable and chatted with us on a number of occasions as we arrived just before the supper rush. Every aspect of our meals and beverages were great. Ceaser Salad, prosciutto, bistecca alla Florentino all amazing. Others had the ravioli, the gnocchi, the port belly and the tuna carpaccio. Everyone loved their meals and some said it was the best they've had. It's a pricey spot but we'll worth it with the portion size as well as the quality and service.

We had an absolutely amazing dining experience here! Our waiter, Scottie, was fantastic—so friendly, attentive, and really made sure our meal was perfect from start to finish. The food was outstanding, and the service made it even better. We loved it so much that we went back the next day just to enjoy dessert at the bar! Michelle, our bartender, was just as wonderful—warm, personable, and really talented at what she does. Both visits were exceptional, and the team made us feel like valued guests. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great food, warm service, and a welcoming atmosphere!

It was good. My only disappointment was Carlo could not make pesto table side, as basil is out of season. I really wanted our friends to try the dish, as Carlo taking us on an adventure of Italy while he prepares it is special. Really enjoy it there. It’s an upscale authentic Italian eatery.

Service was wonderful and their focaccia bread is good. However, This was our second time going and we got different dishes each time and unfortunately both time the food has been very disappointing. Heavy dishes that lack flavor and balance. We won’t be going back.
