    Pazzo has always been an "old reliable" for us. Parking is convenient, the food and service are usually excellent. Last night was a bit different. We arrived a few minutes early for our reservation. We weren't seated for a half hour after the reservation time. It seems there was a dance concert at the Vogel, and a play at the Two River Theater (but I'm not sure about the latter). Suffice it to say, the place was packed and the restaurant was clearly overbooked judging by the number of people waiting inside, outside, and at the bar for their tables. I saw a quite a few people paying with coupons, so I'm guessing this was a case of Pazzo having cut a deal with the Count Basie/Vogel to sell discounted meals in conjunction with an event there. This no doubt, contributed to the overbooking. We had a young waiter who was attentive, friendly, and who was trying to make sure we enjoyed our meal. He apologized for our long wait for the table (as if It were HIS fault, and it was not). He also said the kitchen was similarly overtaxed, and that our entrees would take 45 minutes. Oh well, we've gone this far, so ....... we waited. We had two appetizers. fried stuffed zucchini flowers (which were excellent), and Calamari, which unfortunately, was not. It was overdone and rubbery. We enjoyed a bottle of wine that was delicious and fairly priced while we waited for our main course. We had Veal Marsala, and Linguini with Clams. They were both up to the restaurant's usual standards. Pazzo, on this night, was far noisier than usual, but I'll blame that on the overbooking and the rather "youthful" crowd that was heading to the dance concert. I'm not about to write off a restaurant we've enjoyed for years over one bad night. Everyone has them. But I would advise the management not to overbook when offering deals as was apparently the case last evening.

    Kenny thanks for your loyal business and feedback. As we all know when there are multiple events (Octorberfest, Shows etc..) in Redbank eateries can become busy. Wait times do vary during these periods. We do our best to serve all our guests in a timely manner which we have been doing successfully for over 14 years now. Happy most of your meal was high quality. Not sure why the fried calamari were not to your liking but I will look into it. Yes we are an exclusive vendor for The Count Basie which offers a dinner package through Ticketmaster. I's a great offer for all our show going customers. Again thanks and hope we see you again soon.

    We had a great experience. The food was excellent. The service was excellent, and even though the restaurant was fully seated, we had a great table on the patio.

    We has a party of 6, there was a wait despite having made a reservation in advance. It was very noisy and crowded. That being said, the service was excellent, despite the crowd, the food was enjoyed by all and our waitress was so great I stopped to compliment her to management.

    Busy Saturday night as usual but was there 6:45 with reservations. Table of six.... courteous server who did get one drink wrong, took 10 minutes to deliver second round of drinks for table and forget a chicken dinner for a youngster that took 15 minutes to come out. Not her fault probably needs more support staff. Food was very good. Pet peeve is the surcharge for not paying cash, for $15 buts it's principal on a $400 plus bill. Busy place but with this volume, it's no the about the custmer experience! I might go back but My family and I are local and would be there alot more if they treated customers better.

    Thank you Anthony for this feedback. I am pleased to hear you enjoyed the food and your visit. The non cash adjustment fee for credit card payments is unfortunately industry standard at this point. We were one of the last restaurants in the area to implement this. The fee goes to the merchant processing company not us. I hope your next visit we do better for you and your family. Hope to see you again soon.

    My best friend and I have been coming to Pazzo for years. We love their food. Yesterday, however, was different. Our appetizers were good. For dinner I ordered linguine with clams in the white wine sauce and asked for some extra sauce on the side. My best friend ordered the filet mignon medium rare. They brought our food and walked away, no extra sauce, and the correct temperature stick was in her steak. However, she cut a few pieces and it was well done. After waiting finally we got the waiter back over and she explained it was well done and even showed him the stick. He apologized and said he would tell the kitchen and fix it. After a bit of a wait they brought her food; the same steak she sent back, now charred!!! She was irritated now, and couldn’t believe they brought the same cut up steak and didn’t listen to what she originally asked for. At this point the waiter said he would deduct it from the bill and fearing it would be messed up again she asked for a small bowl of linguine, very light on the marinara sauce. At this point the manager came over and she relayed everything. He seemed not to really pay attention to her explanation but she reiterated what happened and her ask for pasta, light on the sauce. Well the manager brought her pasta drowning in sauce. She was upset and said just forget it, we’re going to leave, just bring the check, but they offered free dessert and she felt bad for me. I told her don’t worry. And went to speak to the same manager myself. When he came back over he explained that he took off the filet mignon, and the pasta and gave us free dessert. What??? That’s it? My poor friend didn’t eat any dinner because they made it all wrong and didn’t seem to listen to her, so of course the dinners should be taken off the bill. Finally the main owner came over, and while nice, only apologized and said to ask for him next time we go there. Whether or not he will do anything next time, we don’t know. But this is not how you keep customers.

    Planned to meet friends for dinner with a drink at the bar first, we got so sidetracked talking and catching up at the bar, I forgot about the reservation I made; the hostess came looking for me at the bar and when I apologetically told her we got sidetracked she said no problem, when you're ready to be seated for dinner just come see me. And that we did, had a nice table outside on the patio, delicious food, good wine (1/2 priced wine on Wednesday!!!), and great time catching up with friends! Always enjoy Pazzo, the bartenders, servers, staff are all courteous, and food never disappoints!
