Paya is an exuberant, island-inspired restaurant and bar located on Miami’s South Beach founded by Mohamed “Mo” Alkassar and Chef Niven Patel, the duo behind FEAL Hospitality. It is a platform for Chef Niven Patel to pay homage to the insular cuisines of the Caribbean, Southeast Asia, and Spain’s islands, where he and Mo have either worked or visited extensively. Chef Niven’s dishes incorporate ingredients he grows at Rancho Patel, complemented by vibrant wines and tropical, farm to glass cocktails.

The restaurant features 56 dining room seats, 25 bar seats, and 8 raw bar seats, with a gorgeous display of fresh seafood. Expect to jam to some Manu Chao style music while basking in the vibrant island vibes and flavors. South Beach has been home to Mo since he moved to Miami in 2016, and Paya is his thank-you to the community that supported him through his journey.

The food was not exceptional at all. Except for the lamb chops I was not impressed.

What a fantastic addition to the neighborhood. Beautiful decor, outstanding food and incredible service. From the hostesses who greeted us, Anne Marie at the bar who took care of us, and the manager who stopped by to check in on us, this is how a restaurant should be run. Fantastic happy hour also. We’ll be back!

Went last Friday to what's gonna become the hottest spot in Miami Beach. Moe and Patel are a definitely a love force behind their amazing dishes and unique hospitality. Forgive me for this, but the dish that stole my heart: the Truffle Grilled Cheese Sandwich...it's love on a plate!

Everything was good and very nice people working there. We especially loved the rum cake, dessert! We will recommend this place to others for sure.

Fantastic first experience at Paya - service, food, ambiance, everything on point. We’ve been fans of Ghee for years, so happy to have a same-league restaurant in the neighborhood. Already going back this week.

Food was absolutely delicious. Get the papaya salad with shrimp. The chicken was amazing, and the lobster was different but very good and had coleslaw. My only annoyance is that the food was so good, I tried to make reservations today at lunchtime, for 7 PM – and the website says no reservations available within 2 1/2 hours of 7 PM so I tried calling the restaurant, and it rang about 10 or 15 times with no answer. Unfortunately, it’s too difficult to make a follow up reservation so we are unlikely to return.

We recently had the pleasure of dining at Paya, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The ambiance is inviting and modern, creating the perfect backdrop for a delightful meal. The menu offers a creative blend of dishes that are both innovative and comforting. We opted for the tastingmenu, which was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. All of the dishes were perfectly cooked and exceeded my expectations. Our server Ariel was excepcional and and made sure our meal was a great experience.The staff was attentive and knowledgeable. Ramiel was also attentive to our needs and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall, Paya is a fantastic addition to the local dining scene. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to enjoy delicious food in a welcoming atmosphere. I can’t wait to return and try more of their offerings! Thank you, Chef Niven, Mo, and your team! Congratulations on yet another amazing restaurant

Paya is a great, new restaurant with a menu of delicious , unusual dishes made with the highest quality ingredients. There is a good vibe built on food and service, not show as in so many new Miami restaurants. I don’t live on Miami Beach, so seldom go there for restaurants. I will make the trip for Paya.
