Patri has several meanings, in Hindi it means Pavement, in Urdu it means Track and in ancient Sanskrit its means a vessel or small furnace. The name took us back to our origins and we decided to use Pavement, Tracks, and Furnace to come up with a street food menu contains all three elements. Our starters are street food classics on pavements in India and Pakistan. Our grills are freshly cooked in the tandoor at over 400 degrees to replicate cooking in a furnace. Our curries are inspired by the railway cooks on train journeys in India.

Founder, Puneet Wadhwani, has created a never-before-seen menu bringing to life the snacks and dishes he once ate as a child growing up within a bicycle ride of New Delhi train station

From rail side snacks, such as ‘girlfriend chaat,’ cooked on the platform and handed to travellers through the windows of passing trains, to the fragrant curries, such as, ‘rare ghost,’ cooked on board.

We a group of 7 went and booked Grand Thali and it was very awesome. We ordered additional starter and staff guided very well on the portion sizing . Starters were very dry but all 90% dishes in the thali were very awesome. All felt Chicken was overcooked thus dry and chewy. Thai Chicken, Prawn Moilee , Spinach Chicken, Potato Kale , Kale Pakoda Kadhi , Peas Kachori and home made ice cream were star dishes in the thali. Overall, it was a good experience and recommend to visit.

Really great food and excellent service. Good advice from the staff and friendly service. The writing on the menu was very small and quite hard to read in the light provided (had to use the torch on my phone!), but the food was delicious, although buddy a little overpriced.

The food was amazing, the sharing Thali (veg) was amazing and good value for money. Loved the boyfriend chat as well and will definitely go back to try the 1800 watts girlfriend chat one day. would only say 2 things were not up to scratch, the naan was a bit dry and the gulab jamun was so so. Definitely would go back there to try all the dishes once but the Thali is definitely the star. The service and ambience was great

It was slow service at the start as it was busy, but this did get better, and the staff were friendly and we got complimentary dessert which was a nice touch, a bit disappointing that they ran out of lamb for the day but the rest of the food was great.

The restaurant provided a relaxed ambiance, and the staff were incredibly attentive and helpful. We had a pleasant experience with the vegetarian thali, which offered a great variety of dishes to choose from. The Daal Mukani and spinach and potato curry stood out as particularly delicious. While some of the other curries were just average, bland and lacked any flavour; also the paneer was rubbery and overcooked. We enjoyed assembling our own pani puri, which added a fun element to our meal, however the shells lacked crispness. The popadom crisps and accompanying dips were good. The only other drawback was the reheated taste of the nan breads, which were not as fresh as we would have liked. Overall, the food was average but beautifully presented, and the service was commendable. I would definitely consider returning with the hope that the nans and curries are cooked fresh for an even better dining experience.

Previous visits to Patri have always been good. This time the food was - all dishes - barely warm and frankly of very poor quality. The aloo tiki was over fried and the paneer rubbery. The mixed grill came on a burner but was cold. Very poor all in all.

Patri is such a great restaurant and I love the food. Service was great and staff were super friendly. Great vegan options and all were super tasty. Can’t wait to visit again

Tables and bench were sticky. Not very clean. Cash was not accepted Served by young girls who didn't communicate well Asked many times if we wanted mains, after already saying no. Toilets not very clean Takeaway bag so small, container didn't fit.
