Food was great, cocktail was lacking and the service was not great. Felt extremely rushed, server took my plate when I was still chewing my last bite.

We’re on a mission to explore Calgary’s best restaurants and aren’t shy about spending for a great experience—but this one missed the mark. The food? Solid. The service? Meh. We booked a week in advance, and the only option was the upstairs counter. Big mistake. My head was inches from a beam, eye level with HVAC ducts and sprinklers, and it felt like a sauna. The kicker? We spent the whole night staring down at empty tables below. The downstairs looked cool—wish we’d known. Do you know what really stuck with me, though? It was so hot at the upstairs counter that we took our desserts to go. My wife waited outside while I stood by the front door for ten minutes. The place was busy, sure—but the two guys at the front didn’t even ask how our meal was. Guess my idea of “big-hearted service” is different. Maybe the downstairs vibe changes things—but it’ll be a long time before we give it another try.

this was probably one of the best restaurants i’ve been to in calgary. unbelievable service. great atmosphere and the food quality was fantastic. highly recommend the burrata vodka sauce rigatoni and the tuna starter.

Second time at Pat and Betty’s and it was just as good as the first. Consistently delicious. Food was excellent and our server, Taylor, was awesome. There was a slight hiccup with timing of the dishes but it was quickly rectified and made right. This is a must try for sure. You won’t regret it. I will definitely be going back

Wow!! We had the most amazing dinner at Pat & Betty’s. It came highly recommended but the food still absolutely blew me out of the water. The ambiance and decor was beautiful and every dish we had went way beyond expectations. We will most definitely be back, and are looking forward to our next visit!
