This new Italian eatery features a casual homey décor and cozy setting that sits 75 and is located in Union Square in Manhattan. The name Pasta Eater is a straight forward recall to the fact that the restaurant strictly serves authentic Italian, freshly-made pasta on the spot or to-go, as well as other genuine products such as focaccia, salads and earth and sea antipasti all made fresh on the premises. The drink menu offers wines from Italy, a full cocktail bar, as well as imported beers.

Pasta Eater is owned and headed by Chef Giusto Priola. Giusto started his career as a restaurateur with the opening of the wildly successful “Cacio e Pepe”, he was the first to bring the renowned Cacio e Pepe pasta to the NYC tables. The restaurant is located in the heart of Union Square and its secret weapon is its all-freshly-made pasta menu: a pasta maker will be continuously rolling their pin throughout the day in front of the restaurant’s guests.

Service was great, food was excellent! Cozy space with welcoming staff. Great for date night or just family meal. Took our 3y old who loved the ravioli!

The service and food was incredible! We will return. Food portions big we could have shared if we wanted to. There was a wonderful woman and her daughter that befriended us while waiting for our food which really made us feel welcomed. They eat at the restaurant almost daily. It’s a taste of home for them being from Italy. The only draw back was the volume of the music. It was way too loud . The AC didn’t work where we were sitting towards the front of the restaurant but we were fine . It was a seasonally warm day.

This is a great place. The food is extremely good. The ambient is okay regarding the size of the place; the tables are way too close to one another, which limit privacy. The music is a great taste, but the volume is kind of moderate; sometimes it is a little bit loud. You will have a great time with great food, and an excellent customer service. Food comes fast and delicious. I'd definitely come back. I marked it as my fav italian restaurant. I need to eat every pasta they make. I already did 3.

We LOVED our lunch at Pasta Eater! The food was delicious, fresh, made at the window so you could watch the process, and the staff very attentive. We will definitely return.

We were created wide away and got a table. However, the food was not the greatest. It was Luke warm when it got to our table.

I had the Arancina that was very good and then moved on to the signature Pasta Giusto, Tagliatelle prepared and served in a wheel of parmigiano & topped with crispy prosciutto that was very rich and amazing. I will definitely be back!

Service was great, everyone very friendly. Great drinks and food. Fairly small space so make a reservation. We had the rigatoni vodka which was very good. Caesar salad had good flavor but too many stems for the lettuce. I would prefer a different lettuce choice.
